komplete 8 ultimate install/serial problem error 2003

    Installation seemed to go smooth but when I go to activate I get error 2003.

    "The serial number you have entered is part of a bundle and cannot be used separately. Please enter the serial number included with the product."

    I've already installed komplete at my studio with no problems.

    the issue im having is im trying to install it on a second computer at home.

    im assuming the problem stems from trying to register the second install with a different user name/email?

    im a part of a edm duo.

    please advise

    Hello bl0rgz and welcome to the forum.

    I reckon you are right.

    After you installed and Activated Komplete at your studio, the Serial Number is associated with that NI Account. It cannot be registered for a different NI Account.

    I've got same message when trying to upgrade from Komplete7 (box) to Komplete8 (box). But I'm using one account on one computer. What to do to upgrade?

    Same issue here as well.

    I made an error in my order and acquired Komplete 8 to Ultimate 8 instead of Komplete 7 to Ultimate 8. NI charged me the difference and supposedly reassigned the password to the correct product. Installation was easy but I get error message 2003 when I attempt to authorise. I wrote to tech support but have had no answer as of yet.

    after contacting NI via phone i figured out my issues was i bought the crossgrade upgraded when i only needed the Update upgrade so the serial number i was using was tied to a different kind of update.... after talking with them they corrected the issue and swapped the serial number i have now in their system to register for the right package...

    Same here. Bought standard, standalone Version of Komplete 8 (Article Nr. 21300). I keep receiving Error 2003 - The delivery took ages, I wasn't informed about the fact that the item was out of stock, nor did I ever receive a shipping-report. Contacting the telephone-support was the only way to find out what was going on. Now I finally got my Box, want to get started and can't register it. The serial out of a wrapped box doesn't work and there's no support during the weekend. I'm shocked by this weak support...

    If anybody finds or knows a way for me to get started right know, please let me know, this whole affair is starting to depress me... Thought spending 500 bucks would feel better...

    EDIT - Oh, if it matters - I'm running a 2009 Mac Pro on Mac OS X 10.8

    NI tech support reassigned my password and all is working as it should.

    Those having difficulties may have ordered or been shipped the wrong box (i.e. same hardware but different password assignation.)

    Activation failure

    Sorry to say that I am encountering the same issue as at the top of this thread. Komplete 8 Ultimate on a 2nd machine failing to activate with error as above (2003)...

    Both machines are Mac. Issued support tickets to Ni. No reply in 4 days so far.

    Also tried using the service centre to do the offline activation process which totally failed.

    Anyone got any good suggestions for fixing this seeing as NI don't seem too interested?

    EDIT:
    This is now fixed after 4 days.
    No reason was specified but I suspect that I had two user accounts which support merged to make my activation work. Thank you support

    Komplete 8 won't activate

    I am getting the same message: Installed the complete disc set without a problem. Then tried activating all of the components individually... also tried a few within ProTools 10. No luck.

    "Not Activated: This product can only be activated as part of a bundle (2003)."

    Not sure what I'm doing wrong. This is not a second instance of the program on another program, nor am I upgrading. It is instead a new install on a single Mac Pro

    Model Identifier: MacPro4,1
    Processor Name: Quad-Core Intel Xeon
    Processor Speed: 3.32 GHz

    I am embarrassed to admit that I had entered my code in incorrectly. My eyesight is not great and the font size is very very small. So when I read off the digits I incorrectly transposed the numbers. IDK if this will work for you, but considered trying to re-enter the digits. Perhaps even having a second person read them aloud to you as you enter them.

    Error 2003 Komplete 8 Ultimate.

    Hi Guys, im Italian, and sorry if my english isn't correct.
    ok so, i buy Komplete 8 ultimate last week, and after the installation, i have the error 2003 in the service center. how do I activate my product? If I change the account service center, and try to activate Komplete 8, a second account, is this possible?

    I've updated Komplete 8 Ultimate to Komplete 9 Ultimate and got the same error (2003), I contacted support but I guess they don't work over holidays...

    Btw, I tried installing K9U twice, the first time I installed only stuff that isn't in K8U and thought that was what's wrong, but after a complete reinstall I got the same error...

    There are a few possibilities all of which relate to the Serial Number. NI uses different Serial numbers for the different versions of their products, e.g. update, crossgrade, full retail, upgrade.

    Those different Serial Numbers "tell" the NI activation server to take different actions. For example, if the S/N is an update S/N, the activation server will be looking to see if your NI User Account has K8U registered. If the S/N was a full retail version, the only check would be to make sure that S/N wasn't already registered.

    1) you were shipped the wrong product, e.g. shipped an upgrade version when you needed the update version (since you went from K8U to K9U)

    2) you were shipped the correct box but the Serial Number inside was wrong. As an example when I purchased a Komplete 7 update the box said update but the serial number provided was an upgrade. NI fixed the problem on their end.

    Unfortunately NI is the only one who can work this out. I would suggest calling them on the phone.

    I definetly have the right box (and own K8U), so it must be the serial number. Unfortunately, no one at NI seems to be working over Easter.

    My seller have given to me a wrong box (crossgrade), I call him and 1day later, he send me a new Serial number...
    It Works now! :cool:
