    .

I have the install USB drive, not the disk. Space is not an issue and neither is anti-virus software. I will do the"manual" installs, although, based on what I read, there are corrupt packages that contain the content libraries we paid for. If NI made those available for d/l or something else for access I could accept that. All I want is the content we all paid for.....and secondarily, a functional disk. From my understanding, I won't be able to access all my content even WITH a manual install because of the bad disk. I see some people have opened the enclosure and re-seated the drive. That's great for people who are IT oriented and technically able to do that. I am not one of those people, and frankly, should not have to become a technician to access my software. I see this issue was reported at least as far back as April 2013. That's EIGHT months ago......and we're still talking about corrupt drives????? NI needs to just get this resolved. It simply looks bad and does not generate good feelings about dealing with them as a company.

No, I did the same thing. The bastards took 7 days from the date I submitted my ticket to tell me that I should run their tool. Once I sent them results, they waited another 8 days, before telling me I should install each component separately to "Solve my problem", even though I've already TOLD them that I've tried this (as you can see from my earlier post in this thread).

I'm extremely pissed off and all they have done is waste my time and money with a ****, faulty product

So you managed to successfully install all the packages one by one selecting their individual installation files?
How did you go through registration then, with one number for NI center?

No, I installed all but 3 packages (the ones that aren't working, and are corrupted on the shipped hard drive itself) by selecting each component 1 by 1 using the NI installer.

When a component failed (in my case: Scarbee Pre-Bass amped, Balinese Gamelan, and Vienna Concert Grand), I then attempted to install those by moving the NI Installer .mpkg file as well as the individual .pkg files of the component, to my desktop. Then I tried installing from there, but encountered the same problem.

I then checked the file integrity of the archives inside the .pkg files, and found that they are corrupted.

Once you open Service Center, you have to register Komplete with one number as you mentioned, and after that, it doesn't matter which individual component you physically install on your machine or not. Any component of Komplete that you install, will work.

I've also ran into the same problem. Have been slowly going through installing each individual components. The main problems seem to be in the Kontact content. Have ran into several files that won't install including The aforementioned in the quote. But also some of the abbey road drums, and alicia keys. Still yet to finish and find out which are all broken, but all the other software works fine, it's just the Kontact Content.

Also sent a ticket to NI, yet to receive response!
Hopefully this can resolve quickly! I've been waiting ages for this software and was so excited when it arrived :|

Hi everyone thanks for your replies
I was able to install the whole thing. I attempted a second time install... the installer remained stalled at 22 minutes FOREVER but I just left it overnight and the next morning everything was installed. If you are not getting an error message just be patient, I think that the issue here is that the installer is giving us misleading information as the 300+ Gb take a few hours to be written.

Good luck to all of you, and once you've installed it good luck at getting to know the software, it's as endless as it's amazing.

I submitted my ticket on December 11. So far no solution. In fact, they didn't even read what I had to say in follow up emails I sent, regarding my problem. Pretty frustrating, to be honest.

Today, after a week, I received a reply from the NI support. In my case they suggested deselecting Session Strings Pro and gave me download links to this library. Unfortunately, even when I deselected Session Strings my installation failed again. I also tried installing K9U upgrade with Kontakt deselected, but the result was the same. Then I selected only Kontakt libraries (except Session Strings) - another disaster.
Now I'm waiting for another suggestion from the NI support team.

We, the customers, should demand from NI download links for K9U upgrade to replace these crappy hard drives.

Gone through and installed everything but the scarbee stuff, Still yet to do those(bout 6-7 of them)
    Found that,
    Damage,
    Abbey Rd's modern
and Evolve mutations 2 are the only ones corrupt.

Annoying cause those would be handy to have. But i'm just happy most of it installed.

Again, still yet to hear a response from NI :| Poor customer support from an awesome company! You'd think having such good stuff, they'd have good CS as well :|

Installed all the Scarbee stuff successfully. Mind you, i went through and got greedy so did it 3 at a time, was fine til the 2nd run, and it failed. So i thought ok, i'll go through individually to find the corrupt one, and then they ALL installed successfully!?! WTF?

Re-going through to install Damage, Abbey Rd's Modern and Evolve to see if it works now. Installing Damage as i type.

Maybe it just doesn't like long installs?.

Got a reply from NI too. Pretty much the exact same thing as everyone else... "show us your disk utility...download this support program, blah blah blah"
Going to finalise which programs are corrupt and just ask for a digital DL!

EDIT: And Damage still won't install. Literally got to the last 30 secs of the install >:|
Oh well, To the digital DL's it is!

I mean, there's obviously problems with the hard drive, why don't they test them before they send them out?

And why isn't the first alternative to the problem "OH sorry, we'll send you out a new one free of charge, because we screwed up!"
Not making us wait weeks for a reply to say that it's actually probably your computer so can you send us some information about it, for you to wait another few weeks to say, oh actually your computers fine, go through and install each individual file, and we'll send you the corrupt ones!

    Bloody ridiculous really!

Poor customer support from an otherwise great company! :\

You can check if a package will install or not (out of the ones that are failing for you), by revealing hidden folders on the drive, opening the individual .pkg file, opening the archive.pax file within that, with winrar, and running an integrity check (checksum) on that file. If it is successful, the package is not damaged, but if it fails, you won't be able to install it no matter what you do.

Told that my 224G space is not enough space to install. BUT it's a 1TB drive, full due to trying to install there software and failing at the end.

I've already formatted the drive, re-installed the OS and installed the K9U FIRST, with 900G of space. AHHH!!

    SEND ME A NEW DRIVE.

Yeah mclarensmps, i would have done that at the start, but didn't really know how to haha.
Gone through and know which files are corrupt anyway now!

AND! Got a response from NI telling me to run support stuff blah blah,
so i replied saying, these are the 3 corrupt programs, can you just send me them?

    And they replied:
    "Hello Michael,

    thanks for the information.

Could you please reply to my e-Mail with the requested data of my previous e-Mail?
This would be really helpful in troubleshooting this issue.

    Thank you for your cooperation."

MY GOD! Seriously can't they just send the files? I don't want to have to go through all that!?!

    Seriously pissed now

Did anyone get a resolution to this problem? My attempt to install Komplete 9 Ultimate fails every time I try. I only get this error message: installation fail.jpg

I've tried everything suggested by tech support (removing .plist files, not installing Abbey Road Modern Drummer, repairing permissions, etc.) So this is obviously either a piece of crap installer, or files are corrupt on the installer drive, or both.

For those who are interested. My drive was finally replaced. The entire process from start to finish took 58 days. That sucks, but at least everything works now.
