    Hi all,

Would you recommend uninstalling previous versions of Komplete before installing Komplete 9?

You can if you want to. There isn't much need to. Just make sure you specify the same locations so the "same" products (like Kontakt 5) will be installed into the same directories as before.

Thanks Martin, I wasn't sure if there would be multiple copies of the software stored on the hard drive.

If you don't uninstall earlier software you need to make sure you specify the same directories so you avoid multiple/duplicate copies.

The installer will allow you to selectively install products -- i.e. you don't have to install all of them.

Just received my K9 Ultimate update and noted on the serial number card, a link www.native-instruments.com/k9usetup
Mmm, that link doesn't work. Nice.
Just wanted to check regarding all the duplicate sample data etc.

Installation is taking an eternity. I'm basically updating from Komplete 8 ultimate on the same directories as before.. Just keep watching the Time Remaining go up and up!
5 hours and counting... says an hour to go, like it has for the last 4 hours
    ---
Stuff missing in the K9U update? Mmm

Hello everyone! I'm new to the forum and to digital recording. I owned an 8 track analog studio from 1984 to 1998 and I just bought an iMac (yes, with Mountain Lion) Pro Tools 10 and a Mbox Pro. Woo hoo! Back in the saddle again! So far everything is running well.

I just pre-ordered Komplete 9 Ultimate. Should I be worried about anything? Surely, the new version will be compatible with Mountain Lion? Thanks for your input!)

NI Customer Support sent me an email relating to my question about compatibility with Mountain Lion in the above post:
"You should not have any kind of compatibility issues."

This is great news and I will be able to sleep again!

Can you at least see that the RC reverbs are on the hard disc to begin with? With K8 ultimate there were 2 versions of the hard drive and installer. Initially there were some bits missing like Retro Machines Mk2 that were then included later.

I have a folder on an external hd named 'Komplete' and all the K7 libraries are located in this folder. Should I select this same folder and install it?

Also, do you recommend uninstalling any previous versions of the software? (Like Massive, Absynth, etc.)

Since the update from 8 to 9 add some more stuff up, but doesn't change much on existing bigger parts, i didn't deinstall anything.

but I made a Backup of my System disk - who knows what could go wrong :p

and yes, it still takes ages to "update" your installation. runnin since 8 pm until now, maybe finishes 1am (fingers crossed)

anyway, the new uberFX components of the Soild series, Monark, "The Grand" and Battery 4 make the upgrade legit...
