    Hi all,

Can anyone tell me if the Komplete Audio 1/2 and Komplete Audio 6 will work with older versions of the OSX software compared to the online quoted system requirements (OSX 10.12 or later)? For clarity i do not want to use the other software items included (eg Ableton lite etc) just the external sound card.
    I have the following system:
    Macbook Pro:
    2.6GHz i7 processor
    8GB RAM
    OSX = 10.10.5 Yosemite
I can upgrade to 10.12, but don't want to incase it cocks up the compatability of Serum and or Sylenth.... or other DAW / Maschine smooth function which are all solid now.

I already own a Komplete 6 Audio unit, but am on extended holiday now and didn't bring with, and have developed a problem with my headphone port on the laptop.

Ta for any help you can offer.
    B

I'm assuming that these requirements are mainly for the included software products.

I have a KA6 myself and it works fine under Yosemite here. And the KA1/2 units are class compliant and don't require any drivers.

    Hi
I read that you all have Komplete 6, and get it to work on your macs.
I have all the install DVDs of Komplete 6, and the license, that I bought few years ago, but no way to install them on my 10.10.5 (I get no compatibilty messages).
And no way to download an installer from here, only updates that require the originl installation.
How did you suceed to install this suite on your computer? (by the way I'm mainly interested in Absynth for now..)

Thanks a lot if you have the time to answer me

Just to clarify: we are talking about the Komplete Audio 6 audio interface (and not the Komplete 6 software bundle) ;)

In regards to Absynth: try to download it via Native Access. In this case make sure to login into Native Access with the same NI account which was used to register/activate Komplete 6 the first time.

Another option is to check the 'My products, serials and download' section in your NI account:

Or you can also try to download the Absynth demo installer and then activating this one:

I guess I have to learn my way through the NI jungle :)

That being said, enormous thanks to you Solger for such a detailed answer!! All these links are great and with this I think I'll solve my issue.
I guess I first have to update my Macbook, as 10.12 seems to be the minimal version for compatibility these days...
    That's very kind of you.
I'll let you know when everything will be in place.
    Have a nice day

Ok, so after updating my mac to High Sierra (10.13), I was able to run Native Access.
    And.... Tadaaaa!
All synth installers were here, ready for bbzzing, whooshing and ksshhheeking :)

Morality : Keep your computer update and and software things will be easier (now I just sadly have to pay for my Protools Update, but that's another subject...)

Thanks again Solger, you've been very helpful.
