Komplete Audio 2 and AT2020 mic

    Hi
    I have just purchased a Komplete Audio 2 and Audio Technica AT2020 mic. The mic requires 48V which is activated.

    I find that the gain control for the mic input and the headphone gain have both to be near maximum in order to hear a reasonable signal. Is this normal?
    I am using the system with Audacity and, again, the input signal level seems very low in Audacity. Any advice on how to improve this please?

    Would you recommend using a different DAW to Audacity? Are any of the NI apps suitable? (I want to record acoustic piano).
