    Hi Guys,

    Hopefully you can help me.

I recenetly switched my laptop to a HP spectre and all the ports are usb-c.
I never had problems with this device before, but now whenever im opening my DAW (Ableton 10 live) the usb light starts flickering like crazy.
I downloaded all the necessary driver and already checked the "power management" box in the device manager for all of my ports.
I'm using a HP USBC to USB dongle that came with my laptop.

Do you guys think this issue has anything to do with the cable? If so, which one should I use?

Could really use your help. Thanks in advance.

Forget about Live right now but focus on your OS itself. I'm assuming you're using Windows? Windows 10?

So what exactly happens when you plug in the Audio 6 into one of its USB ports? Does Windows actually detect the interface (check device manager, but also check your audio settings and optionally the "remove hardware" option in the system tray). Also: if you start the Audio 6 control panel, does it actually detect the interface or... ?

You need to get all those details out of the way before you start messing with a DAW of some sort.

I was having th same issue but on a Mac. It also included a message about a device drawing too much power and so must disconnect. Shortly after that, My Komplete audio 6 hasn't been registering as connected when plugged in, however, the USB light is green.

    Here are the things I've tried so far;
    1. Tried a different usb approved cable.
    2. Tried it on a different usb port.
    3. Restarted my MacBook.
    4. Downloaded device updater for installing the latest driver (the program does't even pick up the plugged in Audio 6).
    5. Finally updated the OS to Catalina after double checking Komplete Audio 6 was supported.
    6. Reset the SMC (System Management Controller) on the Mac.
    7. Reset the PRAM/NVRAM on the mac.

None of these things have helped. Has anyone found a work around? It remains a situation where, the green lit, indicating that it's plugged into the machine, but the machine and every DAW is operating as if nothing is connected.
