Well, the Postman brought a long awaited Delivery, and I imideately tested that darn Connection Kit.

The KA6 works throughout the CCK Miniinthebox provides.
BUT - no chargeing
And I also doubt, that it can't by Design, an parse it as a malfunction,

But i'll check that later...

 

I'm well aware that this is an old thread ... that's why I'm hoping that in the mean time, NI has found a solution to get the iPad charged by the KA6???

 

Hi Steven, sorry that I send the ,bad' message ... but NO device can charge the iPad via Camera Connection Kit, as I understood it's technical (or from policy) not possible/allowed. So as long the Audio 6 is connected via USB -> connection kit -> iPad it will never be charged. That's the reason Z1/s2/S4 is not using the USB/CamConkit path. Don't expect any update, NI will never support the 'current' A6 (a new generation of A6 is needed).

so NI have devices that charge the iPad but don't communicate with iOS 8 and other devices that communicate with iOS 8 but don't charge the iPad ...

what magic is needed to conjure up a device that does both ?
