Komplete Classics activation problem

    I've just installed the Komplete Classics bundle on my iMac, went through the product activation and only 2 of the four applications were successfully activated. B4II and Pro53 are up and running. Akoustic and Elektrik Piano activations ask for serial numbers that are different from the Komplete Classics serial number.

    I've gone as far as uninstalling and reinstalling, upgrading the applications and NI Service Center. I have submitted a customer support ticket, but haven't heard back yet. Thought I see if there was anybody here who has had a similar problem.

    Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

    OK, never mind...

    In case anyone is lurking on this thread, the key to solving this problem was installing the Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard Installer Patch and performing a custom re-install of the affected applications (not the sound libraries--already installed in my case). The information in the Knowledge Base was there, but a bit scattered and not entirely clear. I'm assuming the powers-that-be will make the proper adjustments to the NI Service Center app in the immediate future.

    The "Sticky" in this forum was probably the most helpful. A bit of advice, when I patched the Komplete Classics installer an Apple Script error message popped up--something to the effect of "I don't know what to do with such-and-such command." Ignore it and proceed with the installation.

    I can't decided whether to feel embarrassed for admitting that I wasn't patient enough to research the answer thoroughly, or annoyed that I actually had to hunt in the forum for the solution...

    ...ah, the heck with it. I'm no longer in "demo mode." I'm happy.

    I have the exact same problem as you had. I tried your method, but I still can't activate the piano plugins (Akoustik and Elektrik).

    Why, do you think?

    I don't know what to tell you. These kind of issues are kind of forgotten once you get things up and running, and it's been months since my original post. I do remember that I was careful to remove ALL NI files (including my copy of Battery) recommended from their prescribed uninstall procedure before re-installing with the patch.

    I will tell you that I never received any response from anyone at NI, but I also told them not to bother once my problem was solved.

    Sorry I couldn't be more helpful. I know it's frustrating to have software that half-works...

    Well, I have recieved som mails from support, only telling me to try activating with the latest version of Service Center. That has not worked, but I'm counting on some follow-ups from them.

    I have the same issue on an Intel Power Mac. Following the steps here and reinstalling using the Intel patch did register Elektric Piano, but despite numerous attempts using the patch and fresh installs of Service Center I cannot get Akoustik Piano to work. This is very frustrating, as the piano is the primary reason I purchased the software. I have opened a ticket (Ticket#2009030610000743) on this.

    It seems as if I need a separate serial and activation key for the piano, as the others have their own generated. Please assist me on this. Thank you.
