    Hi there
i recently purchased komplete kontrol s49 with k10 ultimate , everything works fine with maschine and complete kontrol standalone but when in logic the velocity is lower than usual now matter how hard i press the keys for example if i load komplete kontrol with maverick on one track and load maverick separately on another channel not through komplete kontrol and i playand record the same keys i get pretty different results .
on the komplete kontrol channel the average is 110 , and the separate channel i get a average of 80
it seems as though the velocity curve settings only work through komplete kontrol and are softer through midi into logic

    thanks neil

I have the same issue. I like using my Keystation Pro 88 for piano stuff but when played on my s61 theres no attack or velocity. Just lifeless. Is there a way to set these in the software or hardware?
I use the S61 for synths and strings but its crappy for piano. Where's the fix?

the velocity seems the same for me. to clarify - using Logic 10.0.7- if i load The Maverick in Komplete Kontrol or just in Kontakt, the behaviour is exactly the same.

have you guys, checked your Service Centre for updates for both Komplete Kontrol and Komplete instruments?

    I'm using OS X Yosemite 10.10.2 and Logic Pro X 10.1.0
To clarify a bit further, My KSPro88 has simulated hammer action/weighted key feel to it. My S61 does not. When using the KSP88 there's a definite punch and attack to the notes and they are, of course, velocity sensitive. The S61 seems much more mild when playing piano. I can strike the keys pretty hard and get close to the sound of my KSP88 but i can't write/record that way.
I was wondering if there was a setting to adjust on the S61 to better simulate a weighted key sound.
It's not a huge deal for me since I have both keyboards but it would be nice to eliminate the KSP88 in the future.

I do check for updates in Service Center about every week.

This is not a game changer for me. I've become a huge NI fan over the last year and have finally updated to K10U as well as acquired the Session Guitarist program. I had to put myself in "check" since I will continue using Komplete Ultimate and upgrades in the future! LOL

if you go into Preferences and 'Hardware', there are choices for different velocity settings - the default should be 'linear'.

you can change this in 'Standalone' and also when using Komplete Kontrol in a DAW.

Awesome! That's exactly what I was looking for! It sounds almost identical to the velocity on my other keyboard!
    Thanks, Sowari!

in logic i have tried the above method which works , but it only works in complete kontrol , as soon as i move to another track in logic the velocity settings go back to soft

Is there a way to change this in the daw without using the Komplete Kontrol software? It seems that it only applies to the Komplete Kontrol software but goes back to the default velocity when you use different plugins or samples.

    :bump

So is there a way to assign s-series 'master velocity' to soft 1,2 or 3? I have arthritis in my right hand and trying to play is difficult. Does anyone know how this setting can be permanently modified, for all plugs?

    Thank you

Download and use Controller Editor to assign the desired velocity to the keys. Controller Editor is for MIDI mode of Komplete S, Komplete Kontrol is for, well Komplete Kontrol software.
