Solved Komplete Kontrol 2.6.1 - Missing favorites after update

    Hey everyone,

    We're sincerely sorry to hear some of you have issues with missing favorites after updating to KK 2.6.1
    I've just received a note from our team and the issue is currently under investigation with the highest priority. We're already working on a fix and here is what I know already:
    • There is a high chance favorites are still there but are not read correctly. The favorites.db still holds all data, but is not correctly being read by the application and therefore favs are not showing up.
    • It is recommended to not trying to re-add favourites in order to not overwrite the existing database
    • Making a backup copy of favourites.db3 is also recommended

    The 2.6.2 update restored my favorites. Unfortunately, the VST still doesn’t show up in Ableton Live 11.

    Just updated to Maschine+ 1.3.0.3 (2.14.0), Maschine 2.14.1, Komplete Kontrol 2.6.2 and see the following:

    - M+: Favorites for custom samples (One Shots) are gone
    - M2: Favorites for custom samples are ok
    - KK: Favorites for custom samples (One Shots) are gone

    Everything else seems to be ok, although I don't have counts to check.

    This is especially odd since AFAIK the favourite information is written into the sample files.

    I've lost everything in KK with the new updates apart from Super 8... And I mean everything... :(

    BTW the KK support wizard is way less of a PITA than those for Maschine. Good work :thumbsup:

    Good catch - they're all being redone now so Maschine will also be streamlined and more user friendly quite soon :)

    Thanks for getting back to us Matt @ NI Unfortunately refreshing the database didn't work, so I've sent a support ticket. Here's hoping we can get it resolved quickly!
