Hey everybody! I've been reading the forums for weeks, now its time to get involved. I just spent more money at once than I ever have in my life. I bought Komplete 10, the S25, Machine Studio, a new computer, Apollo Twin Duo, and a sweet Peavey Foundation, refinished, orange 5 string bass from 1983. Anyway, I'm relatively new to software based music, daw's aside. I need guidance!

Ok, so, I get the spinning wheel of death on my newer macbook pro when I try to launch Komplete Kontrol AND Machine 2. FM8, for example, will launch. I'm opening everything in standalone mode for the moment until I decide which daw i want.

    Maybe this is a clue:

I installed Maschine 2 and before Komplete Selection before installing Komplete10, because I bought Maschine first in order to be eligible for the crossgrade to K10. M2 and KSelection installed no problem. I then began to install K10. When I got to DiscC the installation failed (I wish I wrote down the pop up). Out of curiosity I popped in other Disc's to see what would happen and my computer would not even recognize them, all except Disc A. I uninstalled anything to do with NI and started over installing K10 first, then Maschine2. I did not install Komplete Selection for redundancy's sake. I did install the hardware drivers for Maschine and S25. It all went without incident.

Being a newb, maybe I didn't completely uninstall the first go round, and now maybe its the cause of this problem? Idk... I did follow the instructions on how to uninstall on the Knowledge Base.

One thing is for sure, after reading all the forums about NI, I knew that I would run into problems. I need help climbing this mountain called NI. In return, if you have any questions at all regarding music theory, don't hesitate to ask:) Ba dum tshh!
