When using the komplete kontrol browser, certain previews are missing randomly (particularly Output's Substance previews. Some play and some dont).

Where are the previews stored? they are just short WAV snippets of the sound in C correct?

    Thanks in advance

they should be in a ".preview" folder located within the folder where the content was installed. They are .Ogg files, not wav files.

Im not seeing any .preview files installed within the Output folders. They might have hidden it within .nkx as those files are large (~2gb) and listed under a samples folder.

    Still cant access them tho

Any previews would be in there own folder not embedded in any Kontak files. As KK does not have direct access to those files...

Pretty sure you can right click the preset and select “Find in”and the previews should be located there... at least they are for some of the Third party libraries I have..

If it’s an official NKS release the previews could be anywhere. Some previews are in .preview folders within the preset folders, some are installed in app data location, some are installed elsewhere. It’s a bit of a dogs breakfast as to where devs decide to install their content, at least on windows anyway.

Actually I do remember having to "Dig Around" to find them for one of my libraries....So much for "Standards" ;)
