Hello all. I have the KKS61 and today it just stopped working. It's powered on but it will not send midi. when I press on the keys the led's light up. I plugged an akai mpk and midi started working instantly.

I am on Mac Mojave. I updated the day it came out with no problems what so ever. Does anyone have any kind of advice to to get the keyboard working again? I can't imagine that a keyboard of this quality and price would just die after a few short years.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Not sure Komplete Kontrol has been cleared or confirmed to work with the latest Mac release yet?

You need to keep in mind with Apple, they release an OS update that causes everything to break so manufacturers have to spend considerable time to update and confirm things and we all have to wait for all this to happen BEFORE updating to any OS release

Yes but the thing is, it just stopped working today. Mojave has been my os for weeks with no problems.

Perhaps try resetting the PRAM first, as this is usually first thing to try with weirdo USB issues. Also ensure using power supply for the keyboard vs only USB bus power (seriously, this helped both my mk1 and mk2 weirdo gremlins); and worst case remove driver, shut down, reset PRAM again, install new driver, plugin in keyboard to different USB port (and make sure you are using power supply!). That's what I would do to debug.

Here's how to reset your PRAM:
    1. Shut down your machine. Yes, all the way down, not sleep or logging out.
    2. Press the power button and then press command-option-p-r. ...
    3. Hold those keys down until your Mac reboots again and you here the startup chime.
    4. Let go of the keys and let your Mac reboot normally.

Awesome!!!! I can honestly say "I've been there ..." :) Most recent one for me was my 6 year old Belkin powered USB hub started acting up. Replaced it with $15 Amazon powered hub, with 7 ports; and that solved another weirdo thing. Sheesh. USB is great for "plug and play" most of the time, but once in a blue moon, a cable goes bad, or the "ports" seem to get lost by the computer. So, generally it's either the cable, the hub, or the computer "ports settings" first; and usually the keyboard last in that chain of doom. :) Glad you got it sorted!!!
