Komplete Kontrol M32 MIDI/AUDIO issue

I have a Komplete Kontrol M32 keyboard connected by USB to a PC running Windows 10 Pro. The Komplete Kontrol app shows the checked Komplete Kontrol M32 under the Controller tab. Browsing via the Keyboard hardware works fine as well as using knobs. Hitting the keys does not do anything at all. What can I do?

Yep, your issue is you have no MIDI port installed for the KK keyboard. You have a DAW port but you should see 2 ports for the M series (DAW and MIDI):


This port is missing from your setup. I have 3 listed because I have an S series which also has an external port.

Why it is missing, not sure (maybe you installed the software with your keyboard attached? I would recommend uninstall the KK software only, disconnect your keyboard then reinstall it again and after it is installed connect the keyboard before launching. Also, check Device Manager and see if there is a problem device, if you check that now you will probably see the keyboard is listed as non operational because a driver is not working.

Beyond this, contact support if you aren't more familiar with the inner workings of windows and drivers etc.

 

I did a new installation, still I do only see Komplete Kontrol DAW. In the device manager I find the Komplete KONTROL M32 MIDI as an audio controller and as an USB device, both without issues.
