Dude, I sure hope the guy running your web site doesn't find out you don't make music!! ;)
Digging your NKS patch sets, BTW...

    AND -
Now good to go here with my S-61 Mk1 as well -
Tonight's batch of Microsoft updates (Windows 10 Pro) seemed to have done the trick! :D

I have been affected by the Windows 10 updates that caused the S88 MK1 controller to no longer be recognized in order to function properly with Maschine. I have been affected by another problem that has existed for almost an entire year, and I was wondering if any of the people posting here might be able to help me with the situation.

I have been unable to keep the Maschine program running for a continuous block of time for a live performance because the Maschine program (running on Windows 10) starts to do one or more of the following: freezes up, halts, generates an application error, or stops generating audible audio. The Maschine program stops working like this when I am using the following gear:

    Komplete Kontrol S88 MK1 controller
    M-Audio Keystation 88 MK2 controller
Maschine Mikro controller (not sure of the MK on this)
Any of three models of Focusrite Audio Interface (Scarlett 2i2 first or 2nd generation, Scarlett 6i6)
Worlde Easycontrol.9 controller (USB device with 9 rotary knobs, 9 sliders, and 9 button switches)

When I look at the "audio" section within the Maschine program, I am noticing that the ASIO status is stopped.

I have not been able to do a live performance using any of the Focusrite devices. If I use a PreSonus Audiobox 96 USB device, I am able to use the Maschine program and my other gear successfully, except for recently when the Windows 10 update caused Maschine to no longer work with the NI S88 controller.

I went back and forth with NI and Focusrite support, and there has been no resolve for almost a year.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Change all your USB-cables and see if that works. Sounds maybe stupid but the only way to see if the problem is there.

    Hey everyone,
We have just released the following statement on our support community regarding this issue :

    "Dear users,
on March 12th Microsoft released a Windows update which fixes the issue that your Native Instruments device does not get recognized.
    2019-03 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1809 for x64-based Systems (KB4489899)
Please make sure to run your Windows updates:
    https://support.microsoft.com/en-hk/help/4027667/windows-10-update

Yet, we are still testing but we already know that this update fixes issues on Windows 10 systems for devices like Komplete Kontrol S-series MK1, Maschine Studio, and Traktor Kontrol S4 MK2. We still need confirmation if this applies for Windows 7 and Windows 8 systems as well."

Hi, that's good. What about the cubase issue with NIHostIntegrationAgent intermittently crashing, causing hardware to become non-responsive

    Thanks

Hi Matt, this is what i can tell you about it:

On Win7 x64 the February Security Update KB4486564 (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4486564) will make the MK1 not working properly anymore. Though you can use the MK1 as a MIDI-Keyboard, all the NKS/LED-functionality is broken.
The March Security Update KB4489885 (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4489885) fixes these issues and the MK1 works well again.

The Windows update from March 12th did not solve the issue for me:

    89.PNG

    dev.PNG

    1. The midi device is now recognized as: "3-komplete-kontrol-1"

    k.PNG
Midi is only working if i manually selecting a channel... at the VST input otherwise there is no audio. it does not suppose to work like that.

    KK.PNG

    2. Native midi is not working at all with any other plugins.

This setup worked fine since a few years ago when Microsoft caused similar issue and fixed it weeks later.
    Now they did it again...

I Hope Microsoft will finally understand, users should be able to completely disable windows updates.
Forcing everyone to update keeps causing these annoying issues. security updates are important, but for some of us, dead keyboard is worse.

Still trying to uninstall/reinstall instead of using the keyboard, but so far no luck.
    Anyone has an idea ?
    Thank you

I had a similar issue in Cubase 10. Lucky me it was fixed by deleting some of the Cubase setup files and just starting Cubase again. Now it is working.

But I had to install Yamaha Steinberg drivers again, run Steinberg eLicenser and also license Omnisphere again (because it was also not working anymore).

I'm really happy that everything is working now. I hope you find a solution.

Yes, the latest big one. Looks like after some reinstalls the lights are working again, but buttons don't work in Cubase...

I just did the W10 update and restarted my PC. Komplete Kontrol MK1 works in standalone and in Ableton. Did you already update KK tot the latest version?
