Komplete Kontrol S61 Keyboard Touch-Strip Issues

are Italian, this product is defective komplete kontrol and also I have bought maschine mk2 and native komplete 10 completed and komplete kontrol S49 total 2,136 Euros, and the first day I discovered the flaw of this defect and touch strips hadrware and not software you want knowing crushed on the edges of the touch strips and see that the beta read changes or blocks it seems that there any grounds this a very serious flaw

I changed this product and also the second that changed me has the same problem so I am now sure that a lack of fabrica hadrware and I want a refund or even new product without any defect.

I had originally posted in this thread several months ago suffering from the touchstrip issue. I just wanted to give everyone an update:

After struggling with technical support, I ended up sending the entire keyboard back to Sweetwater, where I had originally purchased it. They promptly sent me a new one that worked fine.

It seems that it is a hardware issue on certain keyboards. I can't comment on if it's happening anymore or how frequently it might show up, but I can say that I haven't experienced any issues since my replacement.

 

Mine has started playing up too - touching the lower third of the mod strip will trigger a pitch bend fully down. And touching either the top or bottom of the pitch bend only triggers about a halfway bend according to the lights. I'm running latest firmware.

Sadly, my unit is out of warranty so who knows what the repair bill will be. I'd be happy to fix it myself if I could get the replacement parts.

I'm also wondering how hard it would be to retrofit a traditional pair of wheels in place of the less than functional touch strips. Perhaps NI could consider such an option on future revisions (I'm dreaming to think that, but hey).

Though as a minimum, NI should at least put the ability to toggle enable/disable the touch strips into the software, same as the Light Guide.
