Komplete Kontrol S88 Mk 2 - TP/100 LR - Noisy

They recommend me this grease:
in dutch its called "Siliconevet" that would be "silicone grease " in english

Griffon Graise Silicone in French
Griffon is the brand name but there are other brands with the same white silicone grease

I used Acid free vaseline 2 years ago to do this job in my Motif xs8 ( after 11 years that is )because i didn't have the recommended white silicone grease at that time and it worked till now, but next time I will use silicone grease

Probably almost the same stuff..
Was told to not use Lithium as I was seeing a lot of recommendations for this.

 

My lowest C note on the S61 makes my keyboard sound like it came from poundland..

 

not sure on the mechanism on the non weighted Keybeds. But I am quit confident these would be easier to trouble shoot. If your out of warranty. And are not afraid to open it up. There are plenty of vids of YouTube.
But if your still under warranty, I do recommend contacting support and create a ticket. They will repair/replace it.

 

Still under warranty, but i already had to send 1 back as it was clearly pre-owned and registered to somebody else so i'll live with it then go to Arturia in the future, not a fan of Native anymore; mediocre.

 

That’s the problem with sending them back. You never get yours back. And never get a new one either! You get a refurbished one. Which is done at a warehouse in Germany totally not connected to NI. They are just a centre who refurbish thousands of items from alsorts of companies. You really think they are gonna rebuild with love and care, I do not think so, when your on. Production line you don’t give a **** about what your piecing together. That’s my take on it.
