Solved Komplete Kontrol v2.6.6 not working on Windows 11

Installed Komplete Kontrol v2.6.6 on Windows 11 and no Komplete Kontrol S61 MK2 not recognized anywhere. What am I missing? Installed with S61 USB unplugged. Nothing.

It's not officially supported on win 11 as far as I know.

The release notes on v2.6.6 state that it is Windows 11 compatible.

 

Yes, James, that's what I wrote, The latest update brings Windows 11 and MacOs Monterey compatibility.

 

It was a USB hub issue. I was going into a USB 2.0 hub which was connected to another USB 2.0 hub which was then going direct into my PC's USB 2.0 connection on the back of my PC (USB direct on motherboard). When I moved my Komplete Kontrol S61 MK2 USB cable to the USB 2.0 hub that has a direct connect to the USB on my PC the drivers showed up in Device Manager and Komplete Kontrol recognizes my S61 and there appears to be no issues at this time. It just didn't like being connected to a USB hub which was connected to another USB hub before connecting to the PC.

 

That's usually a bad idea in all situations. Always connect a hub direct to a PC port, never daisy chain hubs from hubs or you can have issues like this.
