Komplete Kontrol with non N.I. plugins

Hi,

I was wondering how the Komplete Kontrol S-series keyboard works with other plugins such as reFX Nexus2. If it works at all, are you able to perform all the functions the same as you would with Komplete 10 or are there limitations if you are using a different vst?

 

it does not work in the same way at all.

all you can do use send MIDI Note data + Pich Bend and Modulation. also you can map the 8 Knobs to send CC data.

Okay thank you for the reply. That is all I would need the kontrol to do with the other vsts. Sounds like this keyboard is a good investment too me.

 

Everything is mappable in MIDI mode with the help of the Editor, except Scale, ARP and lightguide, which only works with Kontrol. But mapping the keyboard to third party VSTs is some work.

Yes, it is, like some of their free videos on Youtube too. Let's hope NI learns it's lesson from this inspiration and improves Komplete

Thank a million times over for this! I'm just happy to see that there is some type of MIDI data processing occurring so theoretically NI can adjust this problem (lack of MIDI Out when using Chord/Arp Modes) with a future update. In the meantime, I'm happy to have found this workaround. Huge fan of Point Blank, always dropping loads of handy, free tools. Cheers!
