    Installing.......

    "this may take several minutes".....

    ROFL

the only benefit of partitioning your HD before putting the samples content is organisational simplicity.. there is no performance benefit..

if you ahve no esata port and want to go to a usb hdd then you may have performance issues due to the bandwidth limitation of usb2.0 and also have conflicts with other usb hardware causing potential dropouts.. but if you are running tight on space on your 500gb drive then an external may be the most sensible choice...

heres a tip i just invented.. if you partition the hd drive.. and assign the partition something "up there" like "S" drive.. then if you choose later to go to an external HDD.. you could make that the "S" drive, and delete the S drive from the internal HD...meaning no re-install or a way of using one with internal and one with external..if u follow

its cool i have been moving and deleting files for hours and got there in the end. have installed on main imac hd (7200 rpm) to default locations with no partition and all is good. havent installed on my macbook yet and that only has a 5400 rpm hd so wont be as quick but ill probably do the same. need to delete a load of **** still though so i can use my external 1tb as a time machine for the imac. also need to get another 1tb as a time machine for the macbook pro. i have a drive that i can use to back up the komplete installation disk though. all my third party samples are now on an external hd and im just adding them to the main hd as i use them.

i must say i am totally pleased that i went for ultimate, after just a quick mess around it is clearly a total winner for that price and i dont think ill need to spend any money on software for some time to come. probably the next 20 years ;)

Not sure exactly what you're asking here.. If you own either Maschines the crossgrade price to upgrade to Komplete is $200 and for Komplete Ultimate it's $400. The sale on Komplete is until July 31st.

If you're talking about the sale on Maschine it ends Aug 31st. That sale is Maschine for $400, the mikro for $250.

Doesn't the K8 Crossgrade only apply if you own Maschine? (Thought it didn't include Mikro?).

Depends how bad the GAS is I suppose!

I'm desperately trying to not buy anything else after the K8 (Standard) upgrade. Fabfilter have a sale on. *Holds steady(ish)*

yep mikro cant get crossgraded which i thinks a little unfair because it uses the same software as maschine.

Really? I mean it doesn't specify that the Maschine Mikro is not eligible, but then again it doesn't specify that it is either..

yep it does speify that mikro isnt eligable..you can crossgrade kore 1 or 2,maschine,guitar rig kontrol, kontakt 1-5,reaktor 2-5..so wht you could do is buy kore cheap from ebay and buy the crossgrade now.

    Maschine Sounds!

Hey! I have a big question i've been looking every to get the answer..

I don't want to buy Maschine or Maschine Mikro, I just want the sounds in it and the expansion packs that come with it like "Platinum Bounce" &"True School" and more. Can I buy the Expansion packs and install them on my computer and use them like Komplete 8? Or do I need to buy Maschine or Maschine Mikro to use those sounds?

I've ordered komplete ultimate over a week ago. My order history lists the order but gives no indication of order status or shipping date. A bit disappointing ... having to personally contact support for such basic and obvious information that could simply be listed on my 'order history' page. I hope I hear something soon.
