I see under "free products" the option of "Komplete Start"

    It reads:
    • Produce and perform with over 2,000 studio-quality sounds – for free
    • 16 pro-grade synths and sampled instruments, plus effects, loops, and samples
    • Browse, preview, and play it all in your recording software with KOMPLETE KONTROL
    18 INSTRUMENTS AND EFFECTS INCLUDED

    Question:

Where can I hear all the instruments and sounds? What instruments would be included exactly?

I went ahead and downloaded everything from Komplete Start, and put the link of the files on my CakeWalk by BandLab DAW, but I only noticed an extra uncategorized folder with a "kontakt" and "Reaktor 6" names on it.

Where or how do I find the rest of instruments and sounds on my DAW for Komplete Start?

It's free, why not download and try it out? ;)

I'm not sure I understand the question because if you check the product page:

    Bundles : Komplete Start | Komplete (native-instruments.com)

.. then it lists everything that is included. Is there anything specific you're looking for? My suggestion would honestly be: register, download and find out.

I suppose everything I downloaded is there. I can see a bunch of folders in the file I downloaded it to, but I can't see much from the Cakewalk DAW to check out the instruments and sounds.

Not sure what you mean by that... you don't really download stuff yourself but install it.

    Everything evolves around Native Access...

    Native Access (native-instruments.com)

If you install this and then log onto the software using the same username / password which you used on the website then you'll also get an overview of all the products you licensed. So if you "buy" Komplete Start then its individual products will show up here. Make sure to properly configure N.A. so that it'll use the same VST plugin folder(s) which you also use in your DAW. After that it should simply be an issue of selecting what to install and waiting for the installation to complete.

How familiar are you with adding plugins to your DAW?

Most instruments are for kontakt player and reaktor player, and you have some fx, so open up kontakt player or reaktor player then within one of the both you can open instrument patches. But open both stand alone before opening the vst so the database file can be built.

    Oh thanks...

I found the 19 instruments in my Cakewalk DAW from the Native Instruments package... they are under the plugin section > uncategorized > Kontakt... then you drag the icon to the track section of Cakewalk, open the icon and select the instruments.

But I haven't located the 2,000 + sounds they said is in the package... not on cakewalk or their stand alone icons yet..

I think where the 2,000+ sounds would be..

Open the Kontakt icon and go to Database instead of libraries.. there is a lot more instruments in that section.

For example - also with reaktor you have maybe one instrument but maybe 100 snapshots and every snapshot counts as a sound, and in fact it is a different sound.
