    Hello :)
When I install my Komplete 12 ultimate bundle on my external hard drive, my macbook's internal hard drive also gets full.
I followed the NI instructions. I created an "NI Downloads" and "Ni Content" folder on my external hard drive. I configured it in Native Access. However, when I run the installation, the internal hard drive of my macbook pro gets full. It goes from 50gb used to 500gb. It is full. I don't understand why. Also, when I look at the path of a plugin's "content location" from native access, it does indicate that it is on my external ssd drive.
Someone had already this problem ?

    Best regards
    Yohan

    Hi there,

I don't use Mac myself but Windows, however I also installed Komplete onto a second drive (my system drive is a 256Gb SSD, my second is a 4Tb harddisk) and never encountered such issues, despite having installed several terrabytes worth of audio data. You already mentioned it yourself: the main things to look out for are the download & contents locations.

Just to rule out possible confusion:

Ugly screenshot, but so be it :p

I marked the two locations that are most important here, those will make up for the 'bulk' of the data so to speak. However, the VST's and applications will also gobble up some diskspace of course, but hardly as much. When I check the size of my application folder (as shown above) it's size is approx. 1,5Gb, so definitely not something that can cause issues.

If you set everything up correctly then I'd suggest trying to install a few instruments individually (so one after another) and then check if your system drive also fills up. If it does try exiting Native Access (when it's done) to see what happens next.

See, my theory is that the system might still be using temporary data to install all that stuff. And that has to be stored somewhere, the default location for that is usually on your system drive. But... that data shouldn't remain there permanently. Unfortunately I am unfamiliar with the way Macs handle this, but if you know of any cleaning options for temporary data that might help to get to the bottom of this.

Hi, thank you for your reply. I understand. The support told me it should take no more than 50gb of internal disk storage. I don't understand what takes up storage space.
I tried to instal plugin one by one, but the problem is the same. I installed around 30 plugins and they take almost half of my available storage space.
I don't know what to do...
