Komplete (ultimate) updages & licences

I currently have an earlier Komplete Ultimate Licence (actually, a standard Komplete one upgraded to Ultimate).
At the moment, the only software I use regularly (daily) is Kontakt (v5), which I need to update to v6 because of 3rd party Library requirements.
So an update to Komplete Ultimate v13 is not interesting at the moment. (I'm actually waiting for an update to Absynth, but even more so for implementation improvements like VST3 and scalable GUIs ...)

I see 3 options :

1. Cheapest solution would be to buy only a Kontakt 5->6 update
2. Buy an additional full Kontakt licence
3. Update to the Standard (not ultimate) Komplete v13 now - as a small bonus the "Noir" piano library and I can play again with some Blocks (after updating to Catalina, Reaktor 5 refuses to work ...)

(Solution 2 and 3 have same price, solution 1 half of that ...)

There is a good chance I later will update to Komplete Ultimate v14, so I consider option 1 and 3 to be more of a temporary "rental" investment, while option 2 would allow me to keep or resell later.

Question 1 : Anyone having suggestions as to choice (or additional scenarios)
Question 2 : If I update to Komplete standard, will all my existing ultimate extras still work, and will it not change anything with respect to later Komplete Ultimate update ? (I still own the earlier Ultimate one !)

1. Seems the best to me. You could use your Ultimate, Kontakt 5 and Kontakt 6. And Update/Upgrade during Summer Sale and Black Friday with 50% discount. And sell upgrade Kontakt->Kontakt 6.

Concerning your second question. I am not sure. One would say, one base product (old Komplete) one upgrade. You would have choose (if possible) which upgrade to apply with it either K->KU or K->K13.

Maybe NI is not so strčit and the both could be activated, but I doubt it. Best would be to ask the Support. Live Chat would be probably the best.
