    Hi Guys.
Although I've had some helpful advice on this issue, I still no closer to getting the "Kontact Factory Library" downloaded and installed.
Just a brief explanation...... I have successfully downloaded and installed all plugins through Native Access, but cannot for the life of me get the Kontact library to download / install.
I've had replies from NI to my issues, ie, different links to download, but fail every time.
Apparently I have not enough storage space to download, but I clearly do have enough..... So, I've completely re- formatted my Mac, thinking it was an issue with my Mac, but after all this hassle, it still was saying not enough storage space...... So, I've just purchased an external hard drive with 1Tb of storage..... Plenty and some.......
    What could possibly go wrong?
I change download locations as advised, and yep, you guessed it...... Not enough storage !!!! I have now completed run out of idea's.... I'm not a computer expert, and indeed why should I be, it's just a simple download / install procedure surely...... This is so frustrating, I'm not bad mouthing NI as I absolute love their software and use it all the time in my productions, but I am limited through no fault of my own.
This was not a cheap purchase, and maybe I would of thought twice if I knew I was going to get all these problems... The Kontact Library is 23+ GB program, so I know this is an essential download.......
Is there anybody that could point me in the right direction, I have raised several tickets with NI, although they are slow to reply, they eventually do get back to me, but none of their advice has fixed these problems..... I have read countless posts on Native Access download problems, am I just another statistic??
    Your help would be appreciated
    Mike King

I have a similar problem on Windows 7. "Could not mount disk" error.

    M1kE1888,

Version 1.0.26 should now give you more detailed information if it doesn't have enough space to install. I hope that helps.

Did you meanwhile get everything installed?

Yes, Mike, I believe all of us who are trying to download the updates are another statistic. Here are some additional problems you are going to run into with Native Instruments support:
    1) They are going to treat you like an employee of NI by requesting that you spend additional time "trying" fixes for them. You will be used as a guinea pig with support suggestions that will not work. They seem to believe that all of us doing music on the weekend will have tons of free time to help them fix their product.
    2) They are going to tell you it is the fault of everyone (your OS, your hard drive, your method of installation, etc.) but Native Instruments.
    3) They are going to tell you to join the Beta program to further give them free labor, only the beta is closed, and you will not be able to join.
    4) If you don't follow through with their multi-hour-long suggestions and respond to them with results within 7 days, they will close your support ticket and mark it "solved." (haha)
    5) Once they finish taking your through countless unsuccessful, speculative, guesswork attempts to fix your problem, they will tell you to wait for the next release of Native Access. When it comes out, it will not resolve your issue, either.

Just giving you a heads up. Sorry to say that's as good as it gets ... or at least, that's the best I've received in 5 months of asking for help.

    Hey guys,

Just a small note: version 1.2 of Native Access will contain a complete overhaul of the download system. This will hopefully fix all the download problems. Version 1.1 (upcoming before the end of this month) will contain the activation of Kontakt libraries.

No ETA yet on 1.2, but... it's coming!

Wow. The idea that we have to wait for a version 1.2 of NA before being able to download Kontakt Library, with no ETA on version 1.2 or the arrival of v1.1 is not only hard to believe, but absolutely unacceptable. Bram, how do you expect a professional musician to keep using NI instruments if you can't support us?

I just had to reformat my hard drive and re-install from a back up disk image. As I've seen in the past, my copy of Komplete 10 didn't work afterwards, so I thought I might have to re-install from the DVDs. Then I found Native Access, and tried to install Kontakt from there, for starters. Worked fine. Then I tried installing the Kontakt Library. The Library is about 25GB, and I had 75GB available. But the NA said I need to free up 25 GB to install ... so I moved my old copy of the Libraries to an external disk. I tried installing again, and NA said I needed to free up 100GB of hard drive to install, and needed to delete 16 more GB. So I moved a bunch more of the NI libraries to an external disk, freeing up 125 GB of disk space. Tried installing again, and was told that I needed 100 GB of disk space, and needed to delete 16GB more. This makes no sense ... And if I can't get Kontakt to work without putting me through hours of useless and fruitless hassle, I'm going to trash my investment in the program and find another sampler and another set of virtual instruments. This is unprofessional and unacceptable.

You should just reinstall the factory library from the disks, since you have them already... You would've been done by now :)

Actually, I couldn't install from the disks because they're at home in NYC and I'm in Italy. But maybe you don't think users should be on tour when problems come up?

Aside from the unhelpful comments from EvilDragon, a user on another forum page suggested going to this page
    https://www.native-instruments.com/en/support/downloads/
and follow the link at the bottom of the page to "Traktor and Legacy Downloads" and download an older version of Kontakt. I downloaded v5.6.5 and was then able to add back in the Libraries which were already on my disk (using Add Libraries button). It initially said I had to authorize each, and it wouldn't take my serial number ... then I went back and forth between opening Service Center and Native Access, and once Service Center had recognized my Libraries, they showed up as installed in Native Access, and all seems to be OK.

Just a word re Native Access: since I'm on the road and don't have access to my original disks, the ability to download my instruments via Native Access has been a god-send. And having the ability to just install the instruments I need, and then recognize the relevant libraries on my hard drive, has saved me hours of time. The big problem seems to be in the fact that my using NA to install Kontakt, it installed the latest version, which obviously has a bug in terms of installing the Factory Library.

    Hey Neil,

Sorry for your pain and thank you for sharing your success...!

Just FYI: we are currently finishing the "update release notes" in our current sprint (so we enable application teams to tell you what actually changed in an application update!) and will then focus on reducing download errors.

Well, I was trying to be helpful, honestly. You didn't mention initially that you're abroad, how could I have known?
