This patch does not deliver on most of what NI tech support has been promising me for the past month. (See other posts for details on problems utilizing disk space and incompatibilites with Akai and giga samples).

I don't know what NI and its beta testers did for all these months, but they certainly did not produce the patch they promised. It has been a HUGE waste of my time and money.

Testing the new AKAI batch conversion

Since Kontakt doesn't recognize AKAI CDs in my CD-RW (used to work before v1.1), I had to use my DVD, which is much slower.

Hmm, the dialog for destination folder doesn't have a "create folder" button, like e.g. SX (for new projects) has it. That should be added.

After 25 min per CD and a window saying that several hundreds samples couldn't be combined because of different l/r loops, I had 1.95 GB per AKAI CD on my HD. That's much more than 650 MB!

To save disk space I wanted to combine the higher quality .nki files and delete the "low memory" versions. E.g., I have notes C2-C4 in one .nki and Cis4-C5 in another one, both I'd like to be combined.
But how do I do that? Somebody said it used to work in earlier Kontakt versions.

So, now that we got "big" features we need more detail implementations please.

They said they made it a "stable piece of software"!! HA! An outright lie we can all see from hindsight!

Some of you guys might know
    about the Sampling Library called
QSLO . It uses the Kontakt Engine.
And it looks like NI stopped supporting
MAS fot it. So for users using Digital Performer and
OS9 aren`t going to be able to use it.
And I`m not thinking of switching to OSX for music .
( I use it only for the Internet )

Well I believe that Kontakt will support
MAS until Kontakt vanishes or something ,
but this QSLO thing is very dissapointing.

I would like to know why Kontakt in particular has such a problem with combining samples. It's usually the only the last couple samples in certain programs for me, sometimes worse.
