Kontakt 1.5.3 in Garageband

    Is it possible to use Kontakt 1.5.3 in Garageband 4.1.1 on Leopard 10.5.1?

    It installed ok & I downloaded & installed the AU validation hotfix too. I'm on an iMac and can trigger sounds when Kontakt is in standalone mode. My soundcard interface is showing as CoreAudio & for Midi I've got my Novation ReMote LE showing as on, although my connection is via USB.

    I've mailed NI Tech support & am still waiting on help with this so would be very grateful if someone can advise.

    Welcome =)

    If you're talking about a newer iMac (IntelMac), the answer is no. The plugin version isn't UB; you'd need Kontakt 2.2 or higher for that.

    Thank you for the answer. Yes,it's an Intel Mac. Now I guess my next decision is whether to upgrade Garageband to Logic Express 8 for pretty much the same price as the upgrade on Kontakt...
