Kontakt 1.5 and Cubase SX 2

Everytime I use Kontakt in Cubase, it tells me that the software is not registered and I have to re-install registration data again in the standalone version. Then when I launch the standalone, it tells me there is an error and I have to re-install. So I re-install, re-register, start Cubase and the whole sorry cycle starts again! Anyone else get the feeling that 1.5 is a joke? Until I get this sorted I am going back to 1.2 if it will let me. Any help will be welcomed.

 

Hi there Rubus65, yes this HAS happened to me before. Do a search in the forum for a thread with the subject 'Copy Protection?!?!?! Ha!' Kontakt totally screwed up my perfectly working system and even brought VST/32 (which I was using concurrently with SX2) to its knees. Apparently it's something to do with the copy protection somewhere, so that's where I'd look first. Can't really remember how I fixed it, but if I'm not wrong, I re entered the serial and everything 'somehow' worked again. Good luck!
