Jeez, that's my wish list (particularly the CPU load fix). I thought you were joking. But it's really available.

Unfortunately, the stuck note problem associated with the KSP is still with us in V2.02 (see my thread 'Timing Problems with the KSP). I sure do hope this will be fixed soon!

I was very happy to see a new version but after a few hours of test I have found that unfortunatly there is no improvement on the DFD
    - much more gready the K 1.53 (
    - used 43/49 % cpu to play empty mesures !!!
    - as slow loading the samples as K 1.53 (
    - Nead much more memory to load the samples than K 1.53

but I can now launch the Standalone version ) can you fix K 1.53 for this problem ?

I haven't played around with it much yet, but so far I can report that there's a definite improvement in CPU usage when LOADING projects, at least. My main problem with 2.0.1 was that when I opened SONAR projects containing 2.0.1, the CPU would peg out 99%-100% and sometimes the project would fail to load. Now the CPU stays at 0%-33% for most of the loading, shoots up to around 66% briefly, then back down, and nothing has failed to load. When I listened to several of my projects in SONAR, CPU usage was in the 35%-55% range rather than the 45%-65% range, so there's been some improvement there, too. And my Bosendorfer 290 plays fine without peculiar things (mostly strange noises) happening on pedal release, so that's better, too.

There's one thing I would really love for NI to put back into Kontakt, however. Is there any REASON they removed the dialog box showing the loading progress? Doesn't really make any sense. With Kontakt 2.X, it's really tough to figure out if my project is really loading into SONAR or is "stuck." A visual cue other than my hard drive light would be appreciated.

I'm using a home-built AMD 64 3200 with 1.5 GB memory, Windows XP SP2 (which works just as well for me with music software as SP1).

Is there any reason the Kontakt folk didn't notify registered users about this update, by the way? Although I'm very fond of Kontakt, NI doesn't seem to have much going on in the way of customer service, which is a tremendous disappointment.

Haven't tried it yet, but suspect that the serious RTAS issues are not rectified. I'll have to download it at work due to not having broadband here (on the edge of the world). Anyone working in Pro Tools notice any improvements?

    thanks NI,

yer very wierd, i only found out about the update by pure fluke yesterday, could have not known for months.

ahh this explains why each project opened freezes for a few secs before i can do anything. i was not a previous K1 user so wouldnt have known. A loading dialog would be much better, then i'd known what was going on.

also whats with the 'synth' outputs that appear in your hosts mixer, or were they there before? cant remember.

    regards,

    ahhhhhhhhhh!

im having issues after 5 mins of use.

    i have sx2.2 and sx3 on win xp(sp2),

In sx2.2 if i double click on the name of an output in K2 then i get a restart cubase error.

in sx3 kontakt doesnt even load or appear?! its not in my vst instrument list, even though its dll is in the vst plugin folder, which is the same as that for sx2.2.

    whats going on?

asking myself the same question, they arent in the vst plugin folder so should they be?

also is the update meant to be installed over 2.0.1? because i did a complete fresh install, first the cd verson then skipped 2.0.1 and went straight to 2.0.2.

where the hell is the info on all this kind of stuff?!

I don't notice any difference. All of my problems still exist. I am working mostly in stand alone mode with instrument banks, and there are still many problems. All of which have been reported and for the most part verified.

    Impatiently awaiting 2.03!

Unfortunately, not my issues. The keyswitching issue is still there even though support told me that it will be fixed in this patch.

Even though I have a fast CPU and a lot of RAM, Kontakt 2.02 still crashes Sonar 3 if I attempt to use the big piano with convolution reverb (or anything else with convolution for that matter).
