Kontakt 2.1 Not working HELP!!!!

I keep receiving the following errors after downloading Kontakt 2.1.

Kontakt2 This patch was generated by a newer version of Kontakt. Please upgrade your copy to load the patch.

??? I did upload Kontakt 2.1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!???

The patch could not be loaded (unknown error)
Plus when I try to load it in Logic 7 it displays this error.
Quicksearch Database format has changed. Please rebuild your datbase!

Can anyone tell me what's wrong? It's not recognizing Kontakt 2.1 and I only receive this error when trying to play any piano or 2.1 demo instruments.

 

Do two things:

First, re-run the Kontakt 2.1 updater.

Second, when you get these errors, go to the About box and make absolutely sure you're running 2.1. Maybe something went weird during installation and some components (e.g. the standalone) got updated while the plug-in did not, or vice versa. So maybe you think you're running 2.1, but might still be running 2.0.2 without knowing it.

 

Yes, this happened to me. Some of the vst dll's were updated while others were not (I'm working in several different DAW's). I copied the correct dll's into the vst folders of the DAWs that were not updated and all was fine. HTH

 

This happened to me also. Neal has it right its simply a matter of making sure all of the new 2.1 dll's are in place.

 

How do I go about doing this?

 

Possibly you guys didn't quit your audio apps before doing the update. It won't overwrite a plugin that is currently running.
