I'm using OS X 10.4.10 on a Mac Pro. Apple's Software Updater reports nothing that needs to be updated in my system.

According to Service Center 1.2.2.3 (1.1.0.11)'s "Product Overview" Kontakt 2.2.3 and EWQLSO Woodwinds have both been activated. I can run Kontakt 2 without difficulty as a stand-alone, and it's available as a plug-in under Logic 8. I can run "02EWWoodwinds" (version 1.0.9.003; library: 1.0; licensed to me) as a stand-alone player under Rosetta and load/use EWQLSO instruments without difficulty. I cannot, however, load EWQLSO Woodwinds instruments using Kontakt 2.2.3 as a stand-alone or as plug-in.

Whether I use the "Load/Save" function or drag instruments from Kontakt 2.2.3's browser, I get the error message, "The content you are trying to load is not registered! (please be sure to start the application that came with the content at least once)". If I navigate to individual WAV files in the browser, I have managed to load one or two into Kontakt, but that's ultimately useless, even if it worked reliably. I need to load whole instruments, not instruments' component files.

A little while back I had a VERY difficult time getting Garritan Personal Orchestra's Kontakt Player 2 to work with its library, and ultimately had to get an updated serial number verbally from NI tech support in California. I was hoping to avoid that kind of thing with EWQLSO Platinum Pro XP. I'm spending the day loading EWQLSO on my machine. I'd rather not spend the next few days pulling my hair out in frustration trying to use it. So far, it ain't looking good.

I've pored over many, many relevant threads in NI's User Forums, but haven't seen anything that I haven't already tried or that looks promising as a solution.

Anybody have any suggestions about how to get things working?

    Thanks.

    P.S.

I've got EWQLSO working with Kontakt 2. The missing step was pasting the authorization code from Service Center's "Product Overview/Product Details" screen into the corresponding field while running each respective module's "Registration" application. Then the stand-alone player had to be run at least once before Kontakt would recognize a module's registration. Once done, the instruments load successfully.

Given all the changes in the product's installation and library configuration, it's not hard to become uncertain about what is the proper procedure. An installation addendum accompanied the disks, and even it was inconsistent with the instructions in the updated manual online.

Hope this info will be useful to somebody else.
