Kontakt 2.2 Authorization workaround

    I have tried all your suggestions several times, but I still get the "THIS PRODUCT IS A PART OF A BUNDEL" message when i try to register. And I can only use the KONTAKT 2.2 in DEMO-mode, and that only works for 30minutes. Any suggestions?

    Mac Dual 2,6 Intel, ProTools 7.2.

    sorry but in the following cases there is no quick fix possible from our side.

    note from our registration server expert:

    "Everything in the account looks fine for me. There is an successfull
    authorisation for the Update. If not allready done, contact Support and
    send them the offline registration file. I will contact support and fetch the
    file to examin the requests."

    I have posted this issue as tracking number: TS 88396 last friday.
    I tried adding the activation request just now, but the support form does not accept my winzipped .zip...
    Where do you want it?

    I get the feeling Kontakt and Battery thinks I didn't authorize it/it's half authorized and throws me out.
    I'm "protected" from it so to speak.

    I sendt a request last Weddensday (tracking nr. RS 145237). No answer yet.... This is bad for NI`s reputation. There must be a solution to this problem. Can`t you log into my account an activate it for me?...so I can get a valid response-code? It can`t be that difficult????

    I have sent a request already (Tracking number: RS 147307).

    Meanwhile I have reinstalled Kontakt and Battery multiple times (including the updates). I followed the procedure that has been suggested elsewhere, i.e. deleted the files for Kontakt and Battery in the Preferences. Reinstalled both from dics1 and activated it via SC.

    Even though the status in SC tells me that the activation worked, both plugins work neither in standalone nor in Logic. I cannot even start Logic unless I delete the Battery3 and Kontakt2 file from the Audio preferences.

    I am desperately waiting for your help.

    After getting myself up and running again.. well almost completely. (The old Kontakt still doesn't work (1.5))

    I did this by restoring a week old disk image backup and then re-authorizing.

    Is it safe to dip my feet in the water again?
    I'd like to be able to update Kontakt and Reakto, (Komplete4 versions) using the Service Center. But notif it's going to screw me again.

    I am thinking the same thing, Matt. In my case, I used my laptop's restore disk, then installed the NI instruments and simply did not install the Kontakt 2.2 and Reaktor 5 updates. I made a Ghost image when I had those and all my main music programs in, but I'm not sure whether --or when--to try those updates again. All NI instruments are runnning and show activated now, but I'd like to be up-to-date.
    I contacted tech support; they said an issue had been fixed on their end and if I tried the activation again it would probably work --I did, and it didn't. I'm currently on hold for registration support to see if they can shed any further light; if not, I'm Ghosting back to the image I made and leaving things alone.
    Markus, thank you for all your efforts.
    Update: Situation fixed! I phoned registration support and they read me the serial numbers for the updates, I applied them, and Service Center now sees Kontakt 2.2 and Reaktor 5.12 as activated! Those who can't phone registration support, email them your Activation Request and Activation Return files as they tell you, but perhaps it will also expedite things if you include in the email the serial numbers your SC shows for these products.

    Mine is the "pacificamsx" account you listed. I opened the ticket and sent the plist files on November 21. Close to two weeks ago.

    I am on an Intel Mac, attempting to use my new $29 serial number.

    Please let me know if I can provide anything else, although I've described it in detail both here and in the support tickets. I even had a theory about how I might've confused the system with my serial numbers (earlier in this thread).

    Well, the good news is that it works now on my Intel Mac. I had COMPLETELY removed all trace of Kontakt about a week ago. Now I had done this at least four times earlier--- complete removals and clean installs, with no luck. So I don't know if you changed something on your end... but... it works.

    Also, the "good" activation your expert saw on my (pacificamsx) account was likely my G5. But now there should be two good activations, with the MacBook Pro added.

    All kind of a mystery, but I'm glad it's working.

    :-( This is all very frustrating. I've been without Kontakt and Reaktor for over a week now and when running a commercial studio this is tiresome.

    I've done all the workarounds but still no joy.

    My ticket number is RS142834 can you give someone a nudge.

    .....I'm starting to dread NI updates!!!i

    I just thought I'd share some positive news...

    (this is my extract from another thread)
    I now have all of my Komplete 4 updated and activated... using the methods described in various threads..

    On a negative, I have 2 components of Komplete2 not activated. Kontakt (1.5) and Reaktor (4)...... It is a real weird one, but I have sent the details of it to NI... so waiting again for a response..

    It's like this... Komplete2 authorization shows your system ID on the NI website under the Reg management section.. The number there is 1 digit different to the actual ID on my pooter in the ServiceCenter..

    Service Center: 349051...................etc
    NI website: 359051...................etc

    All other digits in these long numbers are identical!!

    I don't know whether this maybe a clue or of any assitance to your team, but my computer has definitely not changed... No hardware changes etc. I am very suspiscious of just a single digit change, should it be a diff hardware ID.

    I have tried the installation of Kontakt and Battery (part of Komplete 4) authorization again (after deleting preferences).

    Both still crash while starting up which is very sad.

    I had sent you my request number 2 days ago. Did the registration support guys change anything on my account?

    I would appreciate any help, since I am kind of tired trying the same thing over and over again.

    Hi, my Kontakt 2.2 does not work either, and the work around has not worked either, tho I tried it many times. The problem is that the Service Center always says that my serial is already registered. This is one of my service request numbers:

    Support Request No. RS 146119

    I was wondering if Marcus could send that to the customer support people. I have sent at least 5 e-mails in the last week and I have not gotten any kind of response from them. I called NI a couple of times as well and no one is ever there to answer my call (to quote the automated voice).

    I feel really frustrated and displeased, it's one thing if there is technical difficulty, it's another if customer support completely ignores your existence.

    I would really like it if someone would at least get back to me in some form about this.

    Today I got this reply from activation service:

    I won't do anything to be honest because thanks to this newsgroup an Markus Krieg everything is activated as it should.

    One thing which really worries me is why is NI sending such a misleading message with reference to my request regarding activation problems.

    RS 142834 - details sent to registration server experts

    I am so much looking forward to give you positive feedback. unfortunately it is to early for that. Even though you refer to my request number RS 147307 as fixed on 07.12. my problem is not solved at all. If fixed refers to the succesful activation in service center it is correct. I managed to get Komplete 4 (update from K3) activated with minor trouble by myself (~5th try). However, neither Battery nor Kontakt are working (standolone and in Logic 6.4.3; OS 10.3.9). After reinstalling and reactivating >10 times I am really frustrated but I was hoping that the support might finally help me. This morning I got an e-mail from them saying:

    it looks like your request has been resolved meanwhile. Please get in touch should you need more help.

    Fine, but how would those make the Battery 3.0.1 VST plugin crash Cubase SX during the plugin scan?

    I don't think so...
