kontakt 2 swallows 300MB of RAM just by itself

    I cant believe it.

    Windows taskmanager shows a loss of 300MB when I open the kontakt 2 vst plugin in cubase!!!

    Is that normal?

    I mean thats just crazy.

    It's well know problem K2 is 33% more gready. NI is working on this.

    I just received a mail saying :

    >at the moment we cannot give out exact information regarding DFD >settings from K1 and K2! Currently we test this to get more details. We >need to investigate this further.

    I am awaiting delivery of my copy of Kontakt 2, is it possible to switch DFD off in K2?

    Yes, you can switch between "DFD" and "Sample" mode. The latter takes a memory hit, of course.
