    MY diverse list

    1) Proper import of GIGA dimentions!!(i.e. MW x-fades,KS with MW exp. etc...)
    2) Proper import of GIGA dimentions!!(i.e. MW x-fades,KS with MW exp. etc...)
    3) Proper import of GIGA dimentions!!(i.e. MW x-fades,KS with MW exp. etc...)
    4) Proper import of GIGA dimentions!!(i.e. MW x-fades,KS with MW exp. etc...)
    5) Proper import of GIGA dimentions!!(i.e. MW x-fades,KS with MW exp. etc...).

Please!! Progamming these layers are a nightmare as we have alot of giga librarys. Halion 2.02 has figured it out already. Please include this in Kontakt 2. MANY other orch. composers feel this way and as NI is starting to develop these Libs.(EWQLSO). Alot of composers are switching over from GS2.5 to Kontakt for there Orchestral stuff...Proper giga convertion will sway these komposers to use KOntakt!! Pretty please? Rich

    1) UNDO and more keyboard shortcuts, like Arrow-Key navigation through samples.

    2) Polyphonic Voicegroups

    3) Mute/Solo for Groups

    1. A chorus that sounds good (like the one in E-mu's E4's )

    2. A musical 4pole LP filter with less resonance(or whatever it is)

    3. A musical (EDIT:)4pole BP filter with less resonance(or whatever it is)

    4. Being able to hook the available sources and destinations without limitations. Example: You can control sample start with velocity but not with a LFO.

    5. Correct loop points, when running various sample rates. Accuracy is off by a sample or two I think.

    6. Right click features

    7. Keeping the mod pannel views as they were, when switching between groups. Now, some mod panels hide...

Or these thing may have been fixed allready. If so - sorry about this.

+ - buttons for sample loading which can be assigned to midi controllers (like the exs24 has)

the step modulator should be able to sequence the samples

    more effects (like sampletank)

i hope that the kontakt 1.5 has midi drag and drop for the beatslicer

coloured panels and knobs - the modulator panels (lfo) should have the same colour as the modulated knob (cutoff)

    Re: MY diverse list

I second all these ones. The sad news is that these features will not be soon here (I expect another 6 months period). Kontakt is getting somewhat behind on sampling specific technical features especially since Halion 2.02 and I guess GS 3 !!

Does HALion 2.02 flawlessly support ALL Giga parameters?

    For the 3427th time:

    - easy one-key instrument browsing (just cursor up/down!!)
    - copy groups from instr to instr
    - copy group parameters to an other group
    - mute/unmute groups (for editing layered groups)
    - transposing groups/instr (add. to tuning)
    - smoother release tail fade of the ADSR

(hopelessly repeating this over and over again just for more than a year now ...)

Dbuffy, apparently. I`ve heard u have to tweek the odd thing. But the latest Halion update seems to have conquered this Hurculean task. I`m not sure why NI has overlooked this for SOOO long. DO u have any idea how many more sales they could have made? Not smart...Rich

    Just wanted to plug in...

I agree with Rich. Morons. I doubt they even know theres a problem. Honestly this is rediculous, whoever says 6 months is probably correct, but really how hard can it be to implement proper MW importing?

Anyway I thought I would just vent.

    GIGA IMPORT!
    GIGA IMPORT!
    GIGA IMPORT!
    GIGA IMPORT!

    GET IT DONE!

The usual shortsuts, at least for Save/Save as... (Apple-S etc.) - it's annoyning to be forced to mouse around til "Save" in this tiny and slow menu every time.

    Larger Fonts!

I would like to see user defined Font sizes.

When working at high resolution (1600*1200) it's sometimes impossible to read the text.

It's especially difficult to read the zone names when you have a lot of sample zones that cover 1 key next to each other.

Would be nice if you could map samples from filename when building multisample/key/velocityzone.

Like nameing your sample Guitar A1-D2 V63-127.wav would place it in that range.

EXS 24 does this, but not for velocity.

Granted this is not an everyday feature but would make my day

    1) I wish Kontakt would recognise keystrokes!
    2) I'd like a save, save as, delete, and undo button on each instrument
    3) More effects (expanders, gates, fuzz, vocoders, etc)
    4) An standalone format import/conversion utility (so you can do batch transfers etc)
    5) Skinnable interface
    6) Automatic sample mapping (pitch detection)
    7) Easier context sensitive preview/auditioning of instruments
    8) Ability to use WDM drivers when using standalone Kontakt
    9) Improved CPU efficiency for time/tone machine
    10) Hyperthreading and dual processor support for PC
    11) Right click context menus
    12) Ability to manipulate EQ and filter graphs graphically
    13) Ability to drag audio from the seqencer desktop straight into Kontakt
    14) Better library (more natural instruments please :)
    15) Ability to integrate DX/VST effects into Kontakt (i.e. it becomes a DX/VST host) so you can introdcue your favourite effects into the signal path
    16) File association (so you can click on an nki, nkm etc and launch the instrument in Kontakt).
    17) Amp modelling

    whew.
    cheers

I would like to see kontaktFX as a vst plug-in(like reaktor),not to mention proper gigaimport, and perhaps a mixer inside kontakt to make sends more cpu friendly...Some new effects would also be nice....

Take out ALL effects. I mean it. Kontakt shouldn't be an FX engine, it'll only make people scream for "vocoders" and "better sounding reverbs". Bloatware.

Fix the damn Giga import aswell. I don't use Giga samples as of currently, but no doubt I someday will.

Undo is good. I like undo. Also, make saving easier, like a ctrl-s keystroke that saves the current instrument / multi instrument WITHOUT reverting to default parameters (e.g. save WITH samples, which kinda defies the point of having a centralized sample library).

The zone editor is good, but could get a whole lot better. How about moving the root key for multiple zones? Or setting the root key via MIDI? It would all make my life much easier.

Sample editor's zoom bar would need a slight tweak: If I rightclick-drag a point on the timeline, I want to zoom in on THAT point, not the exact middle of the sample. I usually want to trim start positions, and it's very tedious to first zoom then drag to the beginning, zoom again, drag etc.

Make the file / structure tab foldable, to give more space to the editor. If I'm editing a full 7-octave drumkit, I want to see what I'm doing. I know resizable GUI's are not NI's style, but pleeeease. Using only a 400x200 window on a 1920x1440 screen is ridiculous.

    Stay tuned... =)
