    Hello NI community!

Does anybody have an old copy of Kontakt 2. I desperately need in order to reopen lots of my old music.
I've tried asking NI but they say they re unable to help. If I could buy a copy from somebody that would mean so much.

    Thank you

He wants to upgrade to K6, he won't be able to sell Kontakt 2 because it's the base for his upgrade.

Tukks11. I assume you currently have Kontakt 5? Are you on Mac or PC? I might have a solution for you that involves no purchases.

    OK.

I don't know which DAW you're using, but some DAWs could open your old projects with this trick. Find all Kontakt 5 DLL files on your system (there should be Kontakt 5.dll, Kontakt 5 8-out.dll and Kontakt 5 16-out, both 64-bit and 32-bit), copy them within the same folder, and rename them to Kontakt 2. Kontakt 5 is backwards compatible all the way to Kontakt 1 so it should be opening all those projects without breaking a sweat. Perhaps only Cubase might not like this method, maybe some others, but this works in Reaper and likely some other hosts too.

Yeah Cubase is one of the hosts where this doesn't work because it goes by plugin ID rather than DLL name. Shame.
