Kontakt 3 Demo?

Just wondering if anyone knows if there's one on the horizon. I'm debating whether I should get Reason 4 or K3 for sound library purposes.

 

Anyone know?

 

DOubtful they will release a demo with the sound library (thats many many gigs).

They might however release a demo with the program it self. Kontakt is a powerful tool. The library is just the icing on the cake.

Do you own any host application? (If not you might want to look into Kontakt + A Host Application, or just Reason, it is a all in one type package)

Reason and Kontakt are two different types of applications. The NNXT in Reason is more like what Kontakt is, only less sophisticated.

IMHO,Reason would not be a likely choice if I was in search of a high quality sampled sound library.

 

Thanks -- I have Ableton Live 6 and Reaktor on my MacBook, and am a bit stuck without a solid library that allows me to just pull stuff up and go.

To be sure, in almost every respect, Kontakt seems to be the superior product. The one thing in Reason's favor is that I used to use it in conjunction with Live 3 and while it wasn't the greatest program ever created, I am extremely familiar and comfortable with it.

I'd just like the Kontakt 3 demo to know A) How comfortable I am playing with it, and B) How stable it is with Live.

I have tried to get the demo version, but I get the first email about the news letter, but no email for the link to download the demo.

 

I downloaded the demo and it changed my initial impressions after just reading about it. Kontakt 3 seems so refined compared to earlier versions. I find it much easier to do detailed editing and the demo instruments seem to indicate a more playable and fun-to-tweak library. Awesome.

 

kontakt3 looks mind blowing. I am downloading the demo right now as I am typing this to do a " bug check " on my macbook pro, if everything is top notch and working I am buying it... I run Ableton live 7 also, I did the live 7 sampler demo...

sampler is not kontakt. the library to me is nice. but I want the program. its awesome looking
