When I load an instrument, its master volume level is -6db, even when I set the track's volume automation control to 127.

How do I get the volume to automatically initialize (and track) at 0db?

thanks to all for handing this newbie question, b

Check your options menue. There is the option to set all levels to 0 dB by default.

Hello again - the solution above is for instrument-by-instrument to set dB setting. NI Tech Support responded with a global Kontakt solution which is:
    - Click on the Gear Icon (= Main Options)
    - Click on Engine Tab
    - Select 0 dB as default volume

    cheers, b

This is not working for me. I have kontakt3. I do this and change it to -0, but still with every sample that came with Kontakt3 I load, the volume is -6.

What am I doing wrong ?

Humm, I'm still on K2 and the volume changes have to be made to each instrument.

Is it different now with K3?
