I have to set my latency settings to about 512 samples when I play anymore than a few native instrument plugins. I was told by M-Audio there may be an issue with the native instrument RTAS plugins and Snow Leopard.

Is there an issue with this setup (snow leopard, RTAS(pro tools) and NI instruments)

    I have a mac pro 2.93 /6GB DDR3/3TB hard drives

    Projectmix I O set at 48k @24 bit

I was having problems with Pro Tools in snow leopard. I couldn't get a midi in signal. Digi told me to install k4 and trash k3. K4 wouldn't open - it was looking for the digi core audio manager, and since I wasn't using my digi hardware (mbox2 pro) it couldn't find it and would "quit unexpectedly". I finally got K4 to open by opening a pro tools session, then launching the k4 stand alone and reconfiguring it. K3 was working flawlessly in Cubase, so I suspect this is a pro tools issue. I also may be having trouble with the coreMIDI framework folder. It bounces for ages on launching K3, then has to be force quit when I power down. I will make a separate post about the coreMIDI problem.
    I am using K4 v. 2.0.0.29 and protools v. 8.0.3. My macbook pro is running 10.6.2.
