    Hi there,

I'm a new member. So, new issue...

As deduced by the subject, whether opened in standalone mode or as plug-in, Kontakt 4 crashes when: Band/Electric Pianos/Wurly Speaker .nki file is loaded (as soon as I press any key).

When as plug-in within Cubase 6, also the host crashes...

    Faulty sample, maybe?

Any chance to get it replaced?

If not, as that sample is rather (I suppose) nothing special, how do I delete it?

    Thanks you all!

Has anybody (a Moderator, for example...) tried to load that file to verify the issue?

I understand it is not a big issue, nevertheless...

    Thanks for your help!

Interesting. It crashes for me too. I'll report it to NI.

The workaround would be to load one of the other Wurly patches, then add your own effects (speaker, etc.) to it.

    Tested this as well.. crashes.

Also having the same problem with Electri6ity. Certain settings cause it to hang and crash, when either trying to save a patch.. or trying to play a note.

It happens to me as well, in stand alone & when used in Logic.

EDIT: I'll add the relevant part of the crash reports, the first one is when it crashes inside Logic

Any news on this? Has it been formally report to NI?

I can confirm that it crashes running standalone, too.

I left a ticket regarding my Electri6ity issue.. and reported this (Wurly Speaker.nki patch crash) problem, on the same ticket, as well.

That was on 5/29/11.. still haven't gotten a reply. Have since reverted back to the previous Kontakt update/patch.

    Hi there,

the Support Staff answered my help request, as follows.

This is a known issue within Kontakt 4.2.3. : when the Convolution Reverb Insert

Effect's latency setting is set to anything else as 0ms, Kontakt will crash. Our

development department is aware of this and is working to find a solution as

quickly as possible. In the meantime, here is how to solve it:

    - Open the Instrument Edit Mode view (press on the "wrench" button).

    - Now open the Insert Effect Tab (please be careful: not the Send Effect).

    - Select the Convolution Reverb effect.

    - Set the latency Setting to "0ms".

Yup, verified that does the trick.
