    sample format

can someone say something about that new sample format, is it still possible to save samples as wavs and aiffs?
a reduced format is interesting for monoliths but there needs to be an option to get out of that

It really sounded to me like this was an option so there's no need to worry.

...Assuming you're talking about the compress format here.

epu- are you seriously nuts- It's not worth selling the xv with the srx cards- keep it- you will miss it one day. I got rid of all my hardware- thinking vsti's were the way to go- man- doing it hybrid is so much better. Plus, if you have Komplete- you can route the XV out to your computer and use the effects to really mangle the sounds up for something completely new.
But, I have already went through that mindset already- so you might just have to go through it and learn the hardway.

    Was Exaggerating

Hey Java! I'd NEVER sell my XV, every time the thought crosses my mind, I find 25 more reasons why I shouldn't. To me, the Roland XV5080 represents the PINNACLE of ROMPLER-DOM and Rompler-Synth Architecture. In fact, I'm thinking of purchasing another MINT condition unit and maxing it out with SRX and SRJV Cards.

In the one I currently have, I have the SRX 1 Drums, SRX 5 Supreme Dance, SRX9 World and SRX10 Brass. I also have the SRJV2 Orchestral, SRJV10 Bass & Drums, SRJV 12 Hip-Hop and SRJV99 Sampler boards. I just can't shake this unit off, and it's been some 10 years.

Kontakt is SUPERB for the acoustic sounds and some synths.
