Just to clarify: are all of the libraries located on the same drive?

And does this happen always. Or only the first time you load a library?
In any case, also check the Energy options (to rule out that the drive is going to sleep when not in use).

Thanx for replying. Yes, all libraries are in one place.
Sleep mode is not active, otherwise the official libraries would have the same problem. Furthermore I doubt that it would take 4 or more seconds to return a SSD into active mode.
Thank you for the link but there is no structural problem because the official libraries perform perfectly.

I just had the same problem (also using a SSD disk) - eventually I found out that my external drive was formatted with exFAT, and this caused the problem. After reformatting the drive using disk utility and selecting Mac OS Extended format I reinstalled the content files, and now it is working perfectly!

Lucky you. However, I don´t think that this is the issue at my system.
I have libraries at the same disk with extremely different behavior.
I meanwhile even tried to make my unofficial libraries "official" with creating an nicnt file and adding the library to the library tab in Kontakt.
I think loading times have improved a bit but not as much as I have hoped.

What I will try next is reinstalling some libraries completely new.

Dommik, did you get any further with this? I've had the problem since around Kontakt 5.6 on OSX. It happened on Sierra. I upgraded to High Sierra hoping it would fix it. No dice. I reformatted drives, reinstalled Kontakt (complete uninstall too), also tried AFPS.I'm running the latest Kontakt and using SSDs on thunderbolt. I see the same thing. Some libraries load like normal. Some have a really slow background load. And the new 8dio libraries give me the beachball for a good 20 seconds before the loading box even appears. On those my CPU meter spikes to 110% (if that is even possible, but that is the actual reading in activity monitor. No joke.). I've tried those libraries on a variety of other hard drives, bath re-saves of all varieties, etc. Same issues...:(

I'm having EXACTLY the same problem. When I try to load Anthology from 8dio it takes 1'30" to show the progress Kontakt window, and then load the library. All other libraries that I have loads very quickly.
I'm using High Sierra, Logic Pro X. The same thing happens in the Kontakt standalone. I did batch resave, moved to the internal SSD (my computer is a MacPro). Really don't know what it could be.

Also I did a video to show the problem. One thing that doesn't appears in the video is the spinning circle rainbow after I click and before the Progress window show.

I seem to recall others having a problem with Anthology. Try a YouTube search, something to do with the chaos fx they are bizarrely proud of.

One thing that seems weird for me is why 8dio doesn't make their libraries registered with serials, and managed by native access. I already asked them about this, and they don't have any plans to do this.

That's developer's choice if they want to pay NI for encoding the libraries they make in Kontakt Player format. It's not weird at all, many libraries are exactly like that.

I think in this like a protection to the developer

The people that know how to crack are not dissuaded so much by the S/N.

Could be. As to available space, it's going to be a little bit of a problem when you get below 3% of an SSD per se (if my tech guy is to be believed and he probably is, I have seen problems and the OS starts notifying me at this point consistently.). 10% easily on a spinning type drive.

    I have something to add.
I opened the Console and when I try to load Anthology, it shows many lines of the same message: "Month 13 is out of bounds". It has a yellow marking indicating "error". Loading other libraries this doesn't happens.

That just means the scripting is a bit shoddy. :)

So, I understand that the problem is really from 8dio. Thank you, Evil!
