    Hello,

I was curious if there was any place I can find out which instruments are included in the Kontakt 5 Player. The website says 50 instruments are included, but there is no list. Are there any pianos included with Kontakt 5 player?
I'm trying to figure this out for someone; however, I have Komplete 7 which includes Kontakt 4, so I don't want to install the player, unless I'm actually purchasing the Kontakt 5 upgrade. That doesn't help me determine which 50 instruments are included with the Player version.

    Thanks!

Alright, so after searching and searching, I may have found a website that states that it does not have the Berlin, New York, or Vienna Grand Pianos.

However, I saw that on the Berlin & Vienna Grand Pianos page, that it was included in the Komplete 8 Players. So, if I download the Komplete 8 Players, I will have access to the Berlin & Vienna Grand Pianos, correct?

I'm just trying to get a friend started on Native Instruments, and he wants pianos. I'm just making sure I can get the pianos with the Komplete 8 Players, as I will be traveling to England to help him do so.

    Let me know, thanks!

The Berlin/Vienna/etc. pianos are all separate products, included with Komplete 8 but not included with Kontakt 5.

Kontakt 5 ships with a large factory library. It does include a couple of pianos -- I'm not in front of it right now so can't confirm the details -- but they are different than the separate products that are part of Komplete 8.

The demo content that comes with Kontakt Player 5 is NOT the same as the full Kontakt 5 factory library.

I'm searching the web for a place which lists the contents of the Kontakt 5 factory library but can't seem to find one. Stay tuned...

'Fraid not, those pianos are included in "Komplete 8" or you can buy them as a separate product:
    http://www.native-instruments.com/#.../powered-by-kontakt/classic-piano-collection/
Then you will need the Kontakt Player (v5 is the only one available)

NB: Although the Pianos page refers to Kontakt 4. it may be that the Instrument files have been updated to work only in Kontakt 5 (as has been done for other products), I do not know.

I just looked: there are three acoustic pianos included in the Kontakt 5 factory library:

    Grand Piano.nki
    Ragtime Piano.nki
    Upright Piano.nki

There are also electric pianos, and lots of other stuff too.

    David,

Thank you for your help. I appreciate it. I may end up just purchasing the Berlin & Vienna Pianos, as they will most likely sound better than the free instruments. Since I will be buying it for someone else, if I get the boxed product, it should come with the serial, and then I assume I can just install the Kontakt 5 Player on his computer, and activate the piano via the Service Center.

By the way, I installed the Komplete 8 Players on a different PC to see what was installed, before I actually got your reply.

I am actually seeing: Ragtime Piano, E-Piano, and EP10 - Piano.

It probably would be worth it just to buy the Berlin / Vienna.
