Kontakt 5 suddenly loads VEEERY slow

    suyddenly, from one day to another and without any change (i think) loading Konakt 5 either stand alone or in sonar 8.5 has become extremely slow. loading the K5 screen can take up to 3-4 minutes and i cannot figure out why!
    i disabled the samples index from the database but that didnt work...
    any idea!

    I had the same issue with Kontakt. I had a blank CD in my second drive and Kontakt was trying to scan it. Spent awhile trying to figure it out, never thought anything about having a CD in the drive causing it.

    Also, if you have any Antivirus installed(in my case Sophos), exclude your N.I. samples folder from the scanning. This worked for me.
