    Hello all,

This is my first time posting a thread. Thanks for reading.

I have Komplete 12 ultimate and have used Kontakt 5 and currently Kontakt 6. While using Protools 12, I had success in configuring 16 stereo outs into Protools using Kontakt 6.1. Using a midi keyboard I can arm any 16 stereo tracks individually and hear all the sounds in Protools that were routed from Kontakt 6.1. All of the output meters were white and showing levels. All good. However, when I updated to 6.2, I only get output from st. 1. Outputs 2-16 show levels but are greyed out. By the way when I loaded Kontakt 5 and all the stereo outs work with the 16 stereo config. Can anyone help?

Thank you all for time and for having this forum..

Did you try to redo the output assignment, save it as default, and reload Kontakt instance?

    Hello,

Thanks for your quick response. I did all of that. Even new protools file and reconfigure. Before the update, I learned from your previous posts on how to configure these outputs. Which was so helpful. Thanks again. But now it just seems that the outputs are just greyed out from 2-16 no matter what I do. I even tried to revive 6.1 from a time machine backup. I was successful but only in stand alone mode. When I would try to use Protools after a rescan plugins, it would just load 6,2.

Thanks again EvilDragon. I really appreciate your help.

Sadly I can't help you further because I am not a PT user. :( VST plugin works just fine over here regarding multiple outputs...

I am having this issue when kontakt is in AAX, in stand alone it works fine but when in AAX multi outs other than main just won't send sound.

As I said it works fine in Stand alone and I understand the process for creating and managing outputs, but in AAX it just doesn't send audio properly as the signal level appears going on and moving but it's greyed out and doesn't send signal ie to an aux track set to receive kontakt plugin corresponding output.

    Its getting me mad.

Thanks for any info, as I believe it is a bug, as I have done this a million times before.

The same problem here. Everything worked fine before this update, but now I've got something like that:

This configuration is identical as previous, but previous one worked, and present one doesn't.

I am experiencing the same issue. I am also getting high frequency noise on channels 2 and 3 of the Multi Channel output. I am also running this in Pro Tools Ultimate V2019.10. Thanks

Hi everyone. We can also reproduce this here, and can confirm this was introduced with Kontakt 6.2 . We are aware of this issue and are working on a fix.

Same problem made even worse when I need to make a mix change in an old session that has many multi-instance channels of Kontakt. Please fix ASAP!!

Same, sounds like digital feedback. That feedback also goes to other NON KONTAKT inputs such as Soundminer and or H-Delay.

    Hello,

Any updates on this issue?? If there's no immediate solution, is there a possibility to go back to version 6.1 while this issue is being corrected?

    Thank you for your help.

It's only been a few days. New versions of Kontakt need more time than that :)

There's no way to revert back to 6.1 from Native Access, unfortunately. Try contacting NI support and ask for an update installer for 6.1.1.

Hey all...I too have wrestled with this for a little over a week and found a workaround if you have a backup that pre-dates your Kontakt 6.2 Upgrade.

Dig out the following files from when you had Kontakt 6.1.1 (R66) and repopulate the files on your computer accordingly.

Macintosh HD / Application Support / Native Instruments

Macintosh HD / Applications / Native Access

Macintosh HD / Library / Application Support / Native Instruments

Macintosh HD / Users / Shared / Native Instruments

Macintosh HD / Users / Shared / NI Resources

    Macintosh HD / Application Support / Avid / Audio / Plug-Ins / Kontakt.aaxplugin

That should set you straight my friends. Good luck.

Hi all, I'm having the same problem with the Kontakt Player 6.2 update in Protools 12. All my sessions have become useless. This problem does not occur in Logic Pro X. So the problem seems to be specific for Protools. Evil Dragon advises us to ask for the 6.1.1 update, but where can I do that? Jon Kita's solution seems ok, but I myself don't have a backup of 6.1.1. Has NI come with a solution to this problem?

Just make a ticket on the support page. They will give you the 6.1.0 version of installer.
