Hey guys, I only noticed recently as my template was configured with Kontakt 5 (which is named kontakt 5.dll or similar), but Kontakt 6 doesn't show at all!
It's not blacklisted, it's installed in the same folder as v5 (of which there are three, types, normal v5, 8out and 16out), but it doesn't come up.

I recently updated to the latest version 6.3.1, and I could swear it didn't show up with the 6.2.x version either, I think I just ignored it.

    Any ideas?
I launched Cubase as admin, same story.
I have the Komplete Ultimate, so all the VST's etc are installed and showing up just fine, apart from Kontakt 6 of course, I can launch Kontakt 6 standalone without any issues of course.
    thanks

Kontakt 6 is called Kontakt.dll (and shown in plugin browser as just Kontakt, no number), not Kontakt 6.dll, and there are no 8- or 16-out versions, just a single DLL.

yes thanks, I am aware, I simply do not see Kontakt under the VST list, even though in the VST folder (which is scanned by Cubase) I can see Kontakt.dll (which is v6 as you say).
I can only see the v5 Kontakt's in the VST list in Cubase.

I should also add, I have uninstalled Kontakt 6, reinstalled it, same issue, Cubase doesn't pick it up!

Similarly here, except Cubase 10.5.20 actually blacklists Kontakt 6.3.1 after updating Kontakt. How do I roll back to my previous version of Kontakt 6 in Native Access?

FWIW, Cubase 10.5.20 also blacklists Reaktor after updating to 6.4.

Same here - Cubase 10.5.2 is blocklisting Kontakt - this is only since my upgrade install yesterday. I have deleted and reinstalled Kontakt but that didn't help. Just showing as "Not a Valid Plugin" in the VST Manager Blocklist.
    Any help welcome.

I have the same issue here,
Afte buying Guitar Rig 6, went into native access and installed it, and also updated Kontakt.
After opening Cubase pro 10.5.2, Cubase blocklisted Kontakt, stating that 32bit software is not supported.

Please let us know what we need to do to solve this or at least tell us how to rollback an update.

As you can understand, I am really frustrated now, all my arrangements are Kontakt dependant, would really appreciate your help!

    EDIT:
Pfffff,... So, when you go to the vst plugins manager list. In the blocklist tab you can re-activate kontakt. They are marked as unknown. (all others are marked 32bit). Kontakt is then added to your vst instruments list and is marked as a red flag.

Can you try completely uninstalling Kontakt, then check your system for any Kontakt.dll if it exists. If yes, manually remove it. Then in Native Access double-check the 64-bit plugin folder if it matches the one in which Cubase is looking for plugins, then reinstall.

And of course, purge Cubase's blacklist.

    Hi,
thanks for trying to help out, I edited my post previously.
So,... Cubase at first stated that it doesn't support 32bit plugins when it blocklisted Kontakt,
then when I go into the blocklist, it states that the reason is 'unknown'.
(other blocked plugins have the reasons 'not valid plugin' or 'not supported 32bit')
after I panicked, I luckily found that I can reactivate Kontakt.
And after reactivation Cubase puts it back on the Vst instrument list.
The path that Cubase points to for Kontakt.dll is in the Vstplugins 64bit folder. The kontakt.dll is also in that VSTplugins 64bit folder.
Native Acces also points to the same folder.
Now, when I start The Kontakt plugin, it works just fine.

The only thing is, Cubase keeps on redflagging Kontakt. v6.4.2.0

I have done what you suggested and there is no change, which means at least that the Kontakt.dll is not damaged.
To me it seems that Cubase doesn't like something that is coded into the Kontakt.dll
Hopefully you guys figure out what.

    Thanks,
Cubase is still redflagging Kontakt v6.4.2.0
I answered EvilDragon who suggested to reinstall.
Please look at my answer there, it might be helpfull to you and your developer.

TheMuse is not a NI employee :)

But other than that, I think Cubase 10.5.2 is at fault here. No other DAW has this issue.

no red flag for any native instruments plugin here. which was sometimes the case..
    cubase pro 10.5.20 on windows 10 (2004)..

    kontakt 6/reaktor 6 (latest versions)

(on two systems by the way, no probs, which is nice, because.. flagging was kind of a cubase thing for NI...)

I meant, click the link I gave you to the post on the Steinberg forum (click the word "here" in my post). It is Cubase 10.5.20 which is at fault and that post shows how to get the fix.

Oh, I didn't read it fully. Stopped reading after 'reactivate plugin comment' . Thanks for pointing it out.

Ha, the 'NI Product Owner' profile threw me off. Yes you're right Cubase seems to be at fault here. Thanks.

    Hi

for the ones that are too lazy to go through the cubase post, The Muse was so kind to share (and also my approach is a little bit different)

this one helps me for every NI Product that is frequently thrown to the Blocklist (Kontakt, KK, Massive X, Battery 4, jarajaraja):

    only tested on Cubase Pro 10.5.20 (Build May 05 2020) and Windows 10 (Versions 1909 & 2004)

1.) Open Cubase->(dont bother to open a session)-> Studio->Plugin-Manager->Blocklist->reactivate all NI dll->check the Tabs (all reactivated Plugins are red)->Close Cubase

2.) Go to C:\User\<yourname>\AppData\Roaming\Steinberg\Cubase 10.5_64 and only delete:

    "Vst2xPlugin Whitelist Cubase"

3.) Then open Cubase again and all the Reds made Homerun (no Restart/Unistall or anykind of operations needed, takes really just 2 minuts of your time)

....until the next NI Update, than do this cycle again, and again, there are no problems in performance, gui, latency, load/save or otherwise notable that i encountered.

(if "Vst2xPlugin Whitelist Cubase" is not in the folder, relax, just rescan your Plugins in Cubase (Plugin-Manager, than refresh the Cubase 10.5_64 folder, but first quit Cubase before delete any files)

    peace folks

Do you mean you did a clean install of Kontakt 6 in Native Access after removing in your OS's app manager?

    Hi

Kontakt 6 (the number 6 is not displayed) is right beneath halion sonic se, just drag and drop it to the list

    check the libraries in standalone
but first check the installation path in native access (top right corner; head symbol; preference; content location)
then reassigne it (the content location) if needed manually in the kontakt pref

    u should be fine:)

    good night
