Sorry I realize i was particularly unclear. I have not touched my system for more than a year so everything seems new again to me..
Originally i got Komplete10 ultimate that has the full version of Kontakt5
Because i had problems with libraries it was suggested to me to update kontakt.
I m realizing now that what i updated is only the free kontakt 6 player, not the full version of kontakt.
So now, i reinstalled kontakt 5 (from my original komplete10) and i installed the kontakt6 player as well.
When I try to add a new VST instrument track in cubase 8, i see only kontakt 5 (not the kontakt 6 player). Is this normal?
In Native access, almost all my libraries show as 'Demo'. I'm assuming that's not right... add instrument track.png native access.png

Also, when I open a library directly from the .nki folder, now i get this:
    upload_2021-4-24_11-22-14.png

Wehn i click activate, it brings up the Service center which fails...

Are you logged into Native Access so it can sync with your Native Instruments account?

hmm ok, did you register the komplete ultimate 10 in native access (+add serial) ?

below the article to repair/relocate libraries:
    https://support.native-instruments....89-Using-the-Repair-Function-in-Native-Access

also what helped me is to delete all libraries and choose a new path for them, then check which ones are failing, so you can narrow it down if you have to open a ticket @nisupport, i remember i had once a repair tool for this occasions (by NI itself), but under win7.. 8 years ago, i think thats all obsolete by now..

for the kontakt 6, check the 4th last pic you uploaded: there it sits between the halion sonic se and kontakt 5 in your plugin-manager, it's called kontakt, just grab it and throw it to the list (also 4th last pic) on the right side, in the cubase plugin manager you are able to rearrange all your vst (fx and instruments separately), you can add folders and profiles

below is the article to the plugin manager, it's for cubase 9, for 8 i didn't find no resource, but i assume it's nearly the same (hope so!)
    https://steinberg.help/cubase_pro_a...managing_plugins/plugin_manager_window_r.html

hope you find a solution, nothing more frustrating than troubleshooting instead of making music (well at least at the moment you are in front of your daw;) and sorry if i don't catch your question right, my english is not the best;)

Thanks a lot for the help..
In Native access, 90% of my libraries say now 'demo' There is no option to repair or reinstall (it s not clickable)
In Native access I clicked add serial and tried to add the serial from my komplete10 original purchase but it says that the product is already registered
I am logged in native access at the same time but clicking on activate just tries to open Service Center which apparently is a discontinued feature.
Thanks for that tip. I didn't know to drag and drop from the left side to the right side. I did that then re-ordered it so that kontakt is listed before kontakt5.
I guess that's progress but it does not seem to make a difference in cubase or for my libraries.. So confusing..

Ok correction. I can now open kontakt 6 player from cubase (after reboot).
    Small steps...
I still don't understand why kontakt 5 would be disabled (i paid real money for the product!) Since My softwares and OS or hardware have not changed i should be able to use everything in Komplete10...
Still no progress with Native access :(

what a bummer!!! but we will get there!!!!

did you install all the ni application and NI-libraries from the native access app? do not install from the hard drive komplete ultimate 10 came with, this is ancient history;)

and a dumb question, all the applications and libraries (Ultimate 10 and so on)are registred to the same account you are logged in native access?

if not: contact support maybe you can merge accounts, i don't know, never had to ask for it

if so: uninstall kontakt 5 and and maybe 1-2 libraries that are in demo mode and than reinstall them from native access "not installed" section, just for the sake of it: after installation check it out in the standalone version, you can find the standalone version of all the NI instruments in the application folder, if you have the default setting, it would be under:
C:/program files/native instruments, every instrument has its own folder (not the vst64/32, this is only for the daw implementation) there you find the apps, open kontakt, config audio and midi, if no config screens pops up, go to file->options...audio->driver asio, device your audio interface, samplerate and latency doesn't matter at this point, nothing of this config matters really, but so you have it set up correctly
more important: aslo in file->options... check database and libraries entries, from there you can rescan add/remove path (yes remove obsolete path), if necessary match the path manually with the corresponding folder the libraries are installed to, from there you can aslo launch native access and so on, sorry if you know all this stuff

hey don't worry i'm making music with computers over 27 years and to this day my brain melts from time to time, bc something goes wrong, part of the game, ok maybe not so comforting.. but you're not alone in this quest :)

the link below is a good step, i guess, before punching a support ticket:

    https://support.native-instruments....3.1374587744.1619229424-1616055417.1616960609

and for cubase: if you go back to the 3rd last picture you uploaded, you see a drop down arrow on the right of the search box; there are all the collections of instruments (what you edited in plugin manager) maybe the collection you use currently is not the same you edited in plugin manager, but this has no influence on your vsts other than to make it available to work with, it's just for you to pick and choose, a visual structure nothing more;)

    good luck!

I've been doing a lot of reading and found people in the same situation as me on other forums.
Some of them apparently just gave up, others just purchased the new kontakt version.
I filed a ticket with NI.
Apparently my kontakt 5 got deactivated. The only way to reactivate it is through the online Service Center which is not supported anymore (it doesn't exist)
The only option is to buy the full version of kontakt (6), around $400 i think... The upgrade only cost is $100 but i m not sure it would even work since my kontakt 5 is not even considered activated (despite the serial number being attached correctly to the application).
    It's just unbelievable...
Honestly, I find this completely fraudulent, unless support comes up with a solution.
I'll post what i find out with support here, for future users in the same situation...

oh i'm sorry to read that you didn't find any solution so far, hope ni support brings the right results

i also experinced the thing with the demo reset, but honestly it never stuck with me, reinstalling the libraries or kontakt did the trick, if i recall it right

from my experience (setting up ni products on somewhat like a dozend maschines and 5 diffrent daws, pc&mac alike) you will encounter always some trouble, that's in the nature of computers, and every app on earth, and some are nastier than others, like yours, downloading kontakt 5 with native access and it wants you to activate in service center is a wild one:/ but for the most, ni apps are pretty stable on the systems i configurated to this day, and i'm using several vst/hw from ni on a daily bases for years myself and sure thats just my experience and not representativ at all, just i don't think there is any fraudulence in play, but an unfortunate technical error, i'm sure there is a solution! i just installed kontakt 5 on a pc for the first time, its all good on my end, we all should have the same access to the current version 5.8.1, i mean it's from a server ni is using, i have the same resource you have, only difference is the account, serial and the system that it's running on, so the app itself should be good to use,
upgrading should aslo not be a problem, bc you get a new app, kontakt 6 doesn't replace kontakt 5, so no worries, i mean i did update several times, but ask the support, better hear it from the official side than from a random dude on a forum;) especially when you are already pissed, and you get (unintended) false infos, that's no fun

just one last generic tip: run your os (win/mac) always up to date and don't use any os altering apps (3rdparty at least), anti what ever apps (virus, firewall extension, etc) or cleaning tools, except for what windows and apple is offering to repair and protect their systems, or the official supporters are recommending, not bc this are bad apps but i think the os shouldn't be touched, other than for optimizing porpuse, and in my opinion all tweaks can be done in bios and settings manager, "less is more" at least that's my approach;) and if everything goes south for me, i backup my sessions and app configs, remember the letters of the drives/partitions (in case i have to wipe the drive clean and set them up again too) and set up the computer new, this can be very time consuming but helped me in the past to overcome errors i couldn't figure out otherwise, maybe it's a noob move but for me it works just fine, but yeah i'm sorry i couldn't be of any help

    cheers mate

Kontakt 5 can be activated via Native Access. I checked the account you used to send your support request and you have nothing registered there. Your issue is not related to Service Center being deactivated but I would guess you're just not logged in with the right account on Native Access.
Our team will be in touch with you via email shortly to ask you more details about the licenses.
    Thank you

Well, looks like the problem is solved.
After a few exchanges with NI, it looks like Native access was not linked to the account. It's very confusing because there's no alert. I didn't understand this, but apparently, adding the serial number to native access is not enough. You also must register the product on the NI website.
I think that i probably did that 6 years ago when i installed komplete10 but when i started having library issues and i uninstalled / reinstalled kontakt it got unlinked from the account on the website and relinked incorrectly.
I must have 2 different NI accounts (that's my best guess).
NI was able to re-add the products to my account..
