    Hi,

For quite some time Kontakt has been acting like a total jerk. It randomly drops voices, displays total nonsense on the disk usage meter.
It happens on both plugin and standalone version of Kontakt 6.2.1. The real disk activity is null. Even with all the samples loaded into the memory, it still happens.

I'm hosting my libraries with Vienna Ensemble Pro 7. It does happen all the time (also on Cubase). It also reset the articulation of the instrument. I can't properly work with software that unstable.

Here are two videos that show voices drops and disk activity:

My machine is perfectly optimized. I've tried everything known on internet.
    Here are my PC specs:

    10980XE 4.4GHz
    128GB DDR4-3000MHz
    3 SSD (1x 960 EVO, 2x EVO 840 / 860)
    Apollo x6

I need support and help please.
    Best

Quick question, have you tried running Kontakt and loading a Library not hosted in VEP7. This might help narrow down exactly If Kontakt is the actual culprit.

also, are the libraries on an external SSD drive, if so, how is the drive formatted? If it is formatted as ExFat, that could be the issue... for more info, search this forum for “ExFat”, there are posts relating to your exact issue....

    Peace,

Thank you for your reply Blindeddie

Yup, I've tried elsewhere. The first video shows the issue while hosted in Cubase.

All my SSD are internals and formatted as NTFS. Dedicated benchmarks show the correct values for each of them. Also, the disk meter from Kontakt does not reflect the real situation of the drives: all of my SSDs are on idle.
