Kontakt Experience crashing when used standalone...

... but it only seems to do it when loading up .nki's of approx 10 Mb or more. Loading it up inside Sonar 4.0.3 and it seems to work perfectly. Has anyone else seen this at all?

Not tried any of the pre-Experience .nki's yet, but will see if they now present any issues a little later.

yes, this has been noticed by several others... and I sincerely hope that NI will fix in Kontakt 2 (and not wait with a fix till Kontakt 3... Then I will be forced to buy Kontakt 3!!!)

Anyway, several crashes seem only to happen in the stand alone mode, so try to use Kontakt as vsti plugin, it surely helps to make you feel more happy with it in general...

Just for completeness, the Kontakt Experience instruments that cause Kontakt to crash on loading when in standalone mode are as follows:

01 - Performances: Break Da Beat, Celtic Dord With Perc, Hit and Run, IDM Construction (160 BPM)

02 - Motion & Pads: Amalgam, Kristall Cave Pad, Omkara FX Pad, Wonderpad

03 - Vocalised: Bosphorus Vox, Get Out of My Head, Random Whispers, Space Jazz, Transmission Intercepted

06 - Exotic: Hiss Scape FX, Recur, Shock Frosted

07 - Melodic Loops: Bump Beat Pad

09 - Arpeggiated: Drowning Tines Rhythms, Fuzzy Random Arp, Melody Vane

Everything else seems to run fine, and as a plug-in I've not seen anything fail.
