    Hi all,

Since the latest update of the wonderful 'Cremona Quartet' I've been unable to replace Automation MIDI CC of the 'Vibrato Intensity' to Automation MIDI CC#21 via 'Learn midi automation.'
Does anyone else has this problem? Does anyone know how to fix this issue?
    Hope to hear from you.

Many thanks in advance and good day!

Just bought this library and am having similar problems.
I can control vibrato with a computer mouse though...(which is of little use) which means a controller can work.
The documentation for the violin says it can be done via a daw, (cc 14),but I haven't learnt how to do so...yet.
I would also appreciate any further information and advice.

    Hi!

I contacted E-instruments about this. They let me map Midi CC#21 via drag and drop from the midi automation tab. It didn't work either. But when I tried to load a Spitfire Audio Library afterwards, I got an error from Komplete Kontrol/Kontakt after moving my fader CC#21. After this error, there's no working CC#21 anymore within Komplete Kontrol/Kontakt. But! Everything is working fine when I open Kontakt Standalone.
I reinstalled Komplete Kontrol, Kontakt, My fader (NanoKontrol2) and rebooted my pc several times.
Matt @ NI I hope you can help me out. I really don't know what else to do here :(

    Many thanks in advance!

pedro55 You can also enable your controller within Komplete Kontrol or Kontakt. Go to Preferences>MIDI to do so.
If you want to change your midi CC#, just right-click on the 'vibrato' >Learn MIDI CC# automation and then move your knob or fader. It'll automatically link your fader to the vibrato part. Hope this helps!

p.s. as you can see in the image attached, I cannot open the Library tab within the preferences. Again I tried to reinstall Komplete Kontrol, but I think something went wrong when I dragged the automation CC#21 to the 'vibrato' in one of the Cremona Quartet earlier. :(

So sorry to learn you’re still having problems.
As you’re using Komplete Control and no other forum members have posted anything,I can’t really offer proper advice other than you contact
Native Instruments directly for some help.
It may take a while for a response, but usually they are very helpful.

Thanks for the suggestion about the midi ……
I only use Kontakt 6, all I find there are the connected midi devices.
The midi learn parts are within the Cremona itself, which failed many times, when using my controller keyboard.

However…..following several attempts, I eventually got it to work.
I can now set midi controllers for the dynamics and the vibrato on separate sliders from my controller keyboard….but not the Nano Kontrol device.
(That is not an issue though, as I only use it as multiple track volume controls in cubase).

Apparently, the problem was linked to usb midi from the keyboard, misbehaving.
This method was faultless with Spitfire cello though, which confused matters.
All I did was to disconnect and reconnect the usb cable.

The Cremona typically has the mod wheel as a default dynamics controller, this needs to be cleared from within the app, prior to selecting midi learn.
It will then show the midi cc number that it’s set to.
In my case it’s cc 73 from the controller keyboard slider.
The vibrato is cc 75 from the next slider.
These will probably be different, depending on the controller that’s being used.

    Just as a wild suggestion…
Have you tried an alternative usb port and/or replacing the usb cable ?

    Hope you get things sorted.
    Please let us know.
    Best Wishes.

Hey S89, if you haven't already, please get in touch here, see if there is a way to fix this or if we have a new bug: http://bit.ly/NIsupport_KKontrol
One little thing to check is if there is any MIDI assignments in the Komplete Kontrol standalone application to CC21 that could bring a conflict. You can check it on clicking the MIDI logo when the keyboard is connected. It is also worth checking with the keyboard disconnected.
