KONTAKT freezing

    I just thought I'd check before I do anything. All of a sudden, Kontakt freezes when booted. It does it when instantiated in Pro Tools (v 11.3) or in standalone mode. Do I have to reinstall it and if so, does that mean re-installing all the modules in it? By the way, I use Windows 7.

    I would go ahead and re-install it. That can't hurt anything, and won't cause you to lose your Kontakt Player libraries.

    What version of Kontakt are you using? Check the minimum system requirements if you're running Windows 7 to make sure it's compatible.

    I am running the most recent update. I've been using Kontakt since version 2. I've had 5 since it was released and I've done every upgrade. There has been no problem whatsoever for years but in the last 2 weeks, it just started hanging with no change in the system. If compatibility was an issue, I would have had an issue a long time ago, right?

    I think I will have to reinstall so while I have your eyes, let me ask you if these steps are right? 1. Go to control panel and uninstall. 2. Reboot the computer. 3. Go to Native Access to the uninstalled section and reinstall. Is that right?
