Kontakt - How to assign a multi instrument to a specific MIDI channel?

In Kontakt, how do I change a multi-instrument like Slate Drums, etc to have the whole kit assigned to a specific MIDI channel? By default, all the drums in a kit are assigned to OMNI. Is there a modifier key option so that when changing 1 drum all others will change?

 

unfortunately you have to assign each individual instrument in the multi.

 

Thank you. After you change each instrument, can you save that as a sort of preset so the next time you launch it the instruments will remain set to channel 2, etc?

 

If you save the “multi” then the assignments are preserved. At least it did for me when I tested it.
